ZALORA Engineering is looking for software engineers to work on the backend services that power the mobile apps.
Join us in building our high traffic site serving millions of customers per month throughout Southeast Asia. You will be exposed to a polyglot architecture, modern development workflows, and a forward-thinking team dedicated to solving the big-picture problems in e-commerce.
As a member of the mobile backend team, you will hack on the mobile API and a portfolio of microservices to provide the functionality that our customers enjoy.
Responsibilities
- Build high performance, scalable, well-structured and testable components for our platform and services.
- Research cutting edge technologies and techniques to improve application reliability, developer experience and raw performance.
- Work alongside engineering manager, product managers and business stakeholders to develop new features and maintain existing system
- Investigate and implement cutting edge technologies to improve site reliability, customer experience, and raw performance.
- Think outside the day-to-day and propose ways to elevate the art of e-commerce engineering.
- Automation first thinking, consistently evaluate and seek ways to improve own and team's productivity
- Technical stack : Golang & PHP for legacy services
Requirements
- B.S. in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
- 3+ years of experience with high-traffic distributed systems and client-server architectures.
- Experience with Go in production grade services.
- Experience in other backend programming language especially PHP is a plus
- Solid computer science fundamentals (theory, data structures, algorithms, design patterns).
- Knowledge of networking and software infrastructure fundamentals.
