Toast is looking for an Android Engineer to join our new Digital Order Management POS (point -of-sale) team. This team is responsible for creating a unified delivery experience within Toast’s POS app, enabling restaurants to manage all delivery and takeout orders directly, streamlining operations and maximizing restaurant efficiency.

About this roll* (Responsibilities)
- Build and enhance features in our Android POS app, creating a seamless and intuitive user experience.
- Ensure quality by building automated testing for changes
- Participate in the full software development lifecycle, from design and prototyping to deployment and maintenance.
- Ensure robustness, performance, and reliability of the POS application.
- Provide technical guidance and support through code reviews and design discussions.
Do you have the right ingredients*? (Requirements)
- Experience with Java, Kotlin with modern Android standards and technologies and can apply them to build fully responsive, performant Android applications.
- The capacity to tackle complex and ambiguous problems, communicate clearly with others to solve the problem, and share knowledge to help the whole team succeed
- Strong attention to detail
- Focused on delivering a positive impact for Toast customers
- Experience working closely with product and design in a team with Agile/Scrum methodology.
