Jr Software Engineer - Back-end (Ruby on Rails)
Overview
The Software Engineering team is looking for a Jr Software Engineer to drive our customer experience strategy forward by consistently innovating and problem-solving. The ideal candidate is passionate about the customer experience journey, highly motivated, intellectually curious, analytical, and possesses an entrepreneurial mindset. Responsible for the analysis, development, and delivery of software solutions.
In this position, you will:
- Develop, test, and maintain back-end features and APIs.
- Optimize application performance, identifying and resolving bottlenecks.
- Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code.
- Participate in code reviews, ensuring code quality and consistency, and implement feedback.
- Learn and apply best practices in software development and financial technology.
- Work collaboratively in a fast-paced, agile development environment.
All About You:
The ideal candidate for this position should:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Proficiency in Ruby on Rails and familiarity with Ruby language.
- Understanding of RESTful APIs and back-end technologies.
- Knowledge of SQL and non-SQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB).
- Familiarity with version control systems, especially Git.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
