About the Role:
Our Platform Services Engineering team builds and maintains the cloud-based applications, RESTful APIs, and shared services that power Experian Software Solutions' products. We are looking for a Software Engineer to help design, develop, and enhance both the backend services and user-facing applications delivered through our rapidly growing cloud platform.
In this role, you will work across the full technology stack, building scalable microservices, intuitive web interfaces, and reusable platform capabilities that enable our product teams to deliver exceptional customer experiences. You'll collaborate closely with Product, UX, Architecture, and Engineering teams, applying your software development expertise, system design thinking, and problem-solving skills to create secure, reliable, and high-performing solutions.

What You'll Do Here
- Develop, support, and continuously improve core platform services and infrastructure components, including event-driven services, identity and access management, user navigation services, and shared platform capabilities. Ensure solutions are scalable, secure, maintainable, and aligned with engineering standards using modern cloud-native technologies and DevOps practices.
- Work closely with teams on the process of requirements gathering with various stakeholders across teams. (Product Owner, Architect, User experience, Delivery and Support functions, Site Reliability Engineering/Operations team etc.).
- Deal with routine support queries, technical documentation, demos and fixes, where required.
Qualifications
- What We're Looking For 0–2 years of software development experience, including internships, co-op programs, academic projects, or professional experience. Basic understanding of software engineering principles, object-oriented programming, and modern application development technologies. Familiarity with one or more programming languages such as Java, JavaScript, React, Angular or similar. Exposure to cloud platforms, databases, APIs, and software development tools through coursework, projects, or work experience. Proficient in deploying and managing containerized applications in production using container orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes and AWS EKS. Familiar with AWS in various services such as RDS, S3, CloudFront and etc. Basic knowledge of software testing, version control systems (e.g., Git), and CI/CD concepts. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a willingness to learn and apply new technologies. Good communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in an Agile team environment. Demonstrated curiosity, growth mindset, and a passion for building high-quality software solutions. Ability to take ownership of assigned tasks, seek feedback, and continuously improve technical and professional skills.
