We are seeking a Software Engineer I (Backend) to join our team. This is a remote opportunity based in Costa Rica.
Job Summary
As a Software Engineer I, you will work closely with experienced developers to build, test, and maintain backend services that power our core applications. Imprivata Privileged Access Security (PAS) offer a highly available and performant connectivity framework that uses SSH (secure shell) to create a connectivity platform for remote support. The appliance also offers advanced auditing capabilities and centralized management for remote access.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Improving product quality and performance.
- Designing, building, and maintaining user-facing solutions, APIs, services, and systems to fulfill user's needs.
- Working with engineers and contributors across the company to build new features.
- Design, develop, and maintain backend applications and services in Java or C#.
- Participate in all stages of the software development lifecycle, from planning to deployment and support.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including front-end developers, QA, product managers, and DevOps.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing systems using team provided technical documentation.
- Other duties as assigned and required.
Qualifications
- 0-2 years of experience in computer science or software engineering, or some relevant experience in systems engineering as it relates to testing, reliability, security, and observability.
- Familiarity developing, maintaining, and supporting complex applications.
- Ability to excel in small-group work environments with team-related goals.
- Coding skills in Java or C#.
- Ability to learn new concepts in a fast-paced environment.
