Software Engineer
We are looking for a Software Engineer to join our Universal Asset Insights team, located in Bangalore, reporting to the Senior Manager of Engineering. In this role, you will work on Infoblox Universal Asset Insights, which automates the discovery and analysis of both IP-based and non-IP-based assets across public clouds, on-premises networks, IoT/OT devices, and third-party applications. Integrated with Infoblox's critical network services, including DNS, DHCP, and IPAM, it enhances network visibility and IPAM accuracy. You will work closely with Product Management and Engineering leadership to execute our Product roadmap and Engineering’s goals of building scalable, reliable, and maintainable software.You are the ideal candidate if you are a great collaborator, strategic thinker, operate independently, and are deadline- and results-driven.
Be a Contributor—What You’ll Do
- Develop cloud-hosted data pipelines for ingestion, transformation, and normalization, built for scale, performance, and reliability
- Build extensible framework that enables low-code/no-code integrations, allowing customers and partners to build new asset sources
- Collaborate with cross-functional and global engineering teams to design and deliver reusable software components that support a scalable platform
- Drive productivity and innovation through adoption of agentic/AI platforms in the software development lifecycle (SDLC), including design, development, QA, automation, deployment, observability, maintenance, and troubleshooting
- Drive product innovation by integrating agentic infrastructure into core product capabilities, including the development and productization of MCP servers, agents, sub-agents, and reusable AI
- Help shape product architecture and software design, ensuring the delivery of a scalable, extensible, and reliable system
- Stay up to date on key trends in asset insights, no-code/low-code approaches for remediation, data transformation, ETL, agentic AI, etc
Be Prepared—What You Bring
- 3 years of experience in software development using Golang/Go, Java, C++, or C, leveraging microservices-based Docker, Kubernetes, Kafka
- Designing and building large-scale SaaS platforms, including network management, asset management, ETL, and data pipelines spanning ingestion, transformation, persistence, API, and presentation layers
- Excellent working knowledge of data modeling, APIs, system architecture and design
- Excellent understanding of relational, time-series, NoSQL, and graph databases
- Strong hands-on expertise applying agentic and AI‑driven frameworks to elevate engineering productivity, optimize performance, and strengthen system reliability, including building agents, sub-agents, MCP servers, and skills
- Strong hands-on experience with performance engineering in large-scale pipelines, including active participation in resolving production incidents
- Good understanding of networking technologies, including switching, routing, and security, preferably with DNS, DHCP, IPAM, CTEM, CAASM, and ITSM
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams across global time zones
- Proficiency in using AI-assisted development tools to support development, code optimization, debugging, testing, and process improvement, enhancing productivity and code quality
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, or electrical engineering required; Master’s degree preferred
