NVIDIA is hiring a Software Engineer experienced in DevOps, build/release and software configuration management for the NVIDIA-Cumulus Linux Engineering Productivity Team. In this exciting role, you will be developing and implementing software tools for improving developer productivity and organizational efficiency of the software build and release infrastructure. Our collaborative team plays a critical role in NVIDIA's high performance computing (HPC) products., We build the Network Operating System software that powers data centers that are accelerated, disaggregated and software-defined to meet the exploding growth in AI and HPC.
What you’ll be doing:

Managing, monitoring, and making improvements to our engineering infrastructure services responsible for automated builds to drive troubleshooting and resolutions.

Maintaining and enhancing existing Debian-based build system, Makefiles, and build scripts and package repositories.
-
Running code scans, static and dynamic analysis tools, and publishing results.
-
Collaborating with software development and test teams to proactively identify process improvements and building full stack solutions using Python to enhance overall engineering productivity.

Building and managing the Continuous Integration pipeline for different software components.

Contributing to scaling Engineering Infrastructure to support growth.
What we need to see:
-
B.S. degree (or equivalent experience) in Engineering/Computer Science related field.

5+ years of experience in Software Tools Engineering or Release Engineering.

Strong knowledge of build automation systems, Software Configuration Management, and Continuous Integration systems like Jenkins, GNU Make, Jira, and Git.

Good understanding of Linux systems, system boot process, Kernel configuration, kernel modules, package managers.

Python, Perl and Shell programming knowledge and experience. Familiarity with database applications like MySQL.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills along with ability to work in a dynamic and global team.

A desire to continuously grow and learn new things.
Ways to stand out from the crowd:

Experience with building containerized applications, docker and Kubernetes.

Experience with security features such as SELinux, secure-boot and/or making and distributing custom Linux distributions.

Good knowledge of software engineering practices.

The base salary range is 148,000 USD - 276,000 USD. Your base salary will be determined based on your location, experience, and the pay of employees in similar positions.
