We are looking for a Software Engineer to join our IP One Data team. The role will enable you to participate in the full systems life cycle. This includes solution design, agile development, test, implementation, delivery and production support. You will help develop innovative solutions to process large amounts of data related to intellectual property (IP). You will focus on all aspects of the ETL process, including developing novel applications of our “cloud computing” infrastructure. You will be working with unstructured and semi-structured data, helping transform it into clean and meaningful data warehouses for business applications.
About You – experience, education, skills, and accomplishments
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent experience
- 2 years of experience with ETL and database development
- Experience with AWS cloud hosting tools (EMR, EC2, S3, RDS, etc)
- 2 years of experience programming using Python and/or PHP
- 2 years of experience with SQL databases (eg MySQL, Oracle)
- 2 years of experience working in Unix/Linux environment
It would be great if you also have...
- Experience working in Agile development team
- Experience with APIs, Kong Gateway is a plus
- Experience with ML, AI, data science a plus
What will you be doing in this role?
- Write and manage workflows used to process large amounts of data
- Create innovative solutions to collect, clean, and validate both structured and unstructured information
- Drive code review, test, and deployment processes
- Work and coordinate development activities with teams in various locations
- Collaborate with other engineering teams and product management to deliver new features, add data content and enhance our products and services.
Product you will be developing
You will be developing ETL services, maintaining existing ETL services that provide data for our Patent Intelligence products, new API services, maintenance of existing API services for internal and external clients as well as updating and supporting existing microservices and developing new microservices.
About the Team
We are a geo-diverse team of ten data software engineers based between Serbia, Spain, US, Australia and India. We work together with our product team and integration partners to design, develop and support our robust and growing data-driven service portfolio. We work as per scrum methodology with daily stand up's and 2-week planning. Standard working ours, as per CET time zone.

Hours of Work
The expected core hours of engagement will be an 8-hour day starting at CEST 9:00 AM and ending at CEST 5:00 PM. This is a full-time position.
This is also a hybrid position working in the office 3 days every other week.
