Job Description
Your contribution to something big:
C/C++ Programming for a task sequencer software running on Windows operating systems.
This software is used world wide at ~2900 installations in BOSCH plants, laboratories and development for the production and the testing of BOSCH products. You will implement features for cyber security, for human machine interfaces, data transfers from machine to machine, to customers/suppliers, diagnostic interfaces to BOSCH products (mainly vehicle computers) and many other things. With you the team consists of 5 permanent members, 3 temporary and we have also 3 colleagues in Romania working on daily support topics. We are developing software features centrally in ME/MFD4 and roll these out into our competence network. In the team we implement agile working methods and travel 2..3 times a year.
Typical tasks:
- Requirements management including negotiation with BOSCH plants as customers and colleagues from various product development organizations;
- Software peer reviews with a software quality assurance partner inside the team;
- Feature milestones planning, feature documentation and release tests;
- Usage of a ticket system, our configuration management with SVN/GIT and a planning/tracking tool;
- Training of users how to work with the implemented features;
- Implementation of C/C++ source code.
Qualifications
What distinguishes you:
Education: Bachelor/Master in Information technology (or technician with professional experience in related fields).
Know-how: C/C++ expert with good Windows knowledge that has implemented already some applications, however we also welcome job beginners; It would be great if you have already some experience in cyber security topics, but we could also train this know how.
Languages spoken: Understanding and use of English language with excellent communication skills.
Personal Requirements: Team worker with quality and entrepreneur mind-set; Process orientated mindset combined with persuasive power; Enthusiastic to work in a multicultural international environment, with communication mainly in English.
Nice to have: Experience in design and setup of smaller software solutions, including project management; Experience with software solutions that use the Embarcadero compiler.
