Software Engineer (AI)

We’re on a mission to transform public sector procurement and contracting using the latest and greatest in artificial intelligence. Our solution simplifies government contracting by decoding complex requirements and generating everything needed to successfully win business with the United States government. As we grow, we’re looking for a Software Engineer who is passionate about leveraging AI to help businesses, especially those in the Government Contracting (GovCon) space, move faster and win more projects.

You will work alongside experienced engineers and researchers to build, test, and deploy AI-powered solutions that enhance our products and services. This is an exciting opportunity for someone looking to launch or grow their career in AI development with hands-on experience in real-world applications.

What You Will Do          

You’ll spend most of your time building out our core offering by working closely with our Architects and Senior Engineers on our team, integrating the latest and greatest advances in artificial intelligence.

• Understand the core features that need to be built by working with your lead 
• Work with your lead to review the tech design of the features assigned
• Plan, implement, and unit-test product features assigned
• Write clean, scalable and well-documented code following best practices
• Advocate for new lines of effort and bring ideas to the table
• Participate in code reviews, technical discussions and continuous learning initiatives
• Create documentation, demos, diagrams, etc.  
• Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in AI, ML and software engineering trends 

Your First 90 Days  

• In Week 1, you’ll meet the team, begin onboarding, and gain access to our systems.
• In Week 2, you’ll shadow one of your colleagues as they move through tickets.
• By the end of Month 1, you’ll independently tackle tickets and feature requests.
• By the end of Month 2, you’ll begin developing specialties and collaborating with product and other team members including refining backlog and taking the features to production
• By the end of Month 3, you’ll be driving product outcomes and branching out into more R&D.

Who You Are     

• 2+ years of experience, specifically related to AI/ML concepts in a production-level environment
• Experience with TypeScript/JS; experience with Python, Java, C++ and full stack development 
• Understanding of data structures, algorithms, and software engineering principles
• Familiarity with machine learning frameworks and libraries
• Experience with programming languages such as Python, Java, or C++ and/or experience with front end stack like TypeScript/JS stack
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills
• Strong dedication with ability to work in a low-process, high-ownership environment
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, or related field 

Your Differentiators     

• Previous experience in AI/ML or data science
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, etc.)
• Knowledge of REST APIs, Docker or containerized environments
• Experience working with version control systems (e.g., Git)

The salary range for this opportunity is $110,000 - $125,000 per year. You will be eligible for employee equity and discretionary bonus compensation, subject to plans that may be in effect from time to time.
