Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Software Engineer to join the Video Integration team in New York. This engineer will contribute directly to our core SDK products, designing and implementing new capabilities, improving cross-platform consistency and reliability, and supporting integrations with major video platforms and applications. The ideal candidate has strong software engineering fundamentals and hands-on development experience with at least one major client platform: Web/JavaScript, iOS/tvOS, or Android. Experience with Connected TV platforms, video streaming, advertising technology, or SDK development is a strong plus.
Job Description
Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, test, and maintain FreeWheel's AdManager SDKs across Web, iOS/tvOS, Android, and Connected TV platforms.
  • Design stable, well-documented APIs that enable video players and applications to integrate with FreeWheel services.
  • Collaborate with Product Management, QA, Solutions Engineering, and other engineering teams to translate product and customer requirements into scalable technical solutions.
  • Participate in technical design discussions, code reviews, automated testing, and release activities.
  • Improve SDK performance, reliability, test coverage, observability, and developer experience.
  • Support customers and internal teams with complex player integrations and production issues when needed.
  • Mentor and collaborate with other engineers and contribute to engineering best practices and knowledge sharing.
  • Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.
  • Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) as necessary.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Required Qualifications:
  • Strong software engineering fundamentals, including object-oriented or functional design, debugging, testing, and API design.
  • Professional software development experience with at least one of the following: - Web: JavaScript and modern browser technologies
    - iOS/tvOS: Objective-C and/or Swift
    - Android: Java and/or Kotlin
  • Experience designing, developing, or integrating client-side libraries, SDKs, applications, or reusable software components.
  • Experience with source control, CI/CD, automated testing, and modern software development practices.
  • Strong debugging and problem-solving skills, including the ability to investigate issues across multiple components or systems.
  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional engineering and product teams.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Salary:
New York Pay Range: $125,439.15 - $188,158.73
Comcast intends to offer the selected candidate base pay within this range, dependent on job-related, non-discriminatory factors such as experience. The application window is 30 days from the date job is posted, unless the number of applicants requires it to close sooner or later.

While possessing the stated degree is preferred, Comcast also may consider applicants who hold some combination of coursework and experience, or who have extensive related professional experience.
