Experian Information Solutions, Inc. is seeking to fill the position of Software Development Staff Engineer.
Job Description
Responsible for all stages and/or iterations in a software development project, providing method specific technical advice and guidance to project stakeholders; Provides strategic and technical guidance to Senior Management on proposed software development project reviews by evaluating approaches and alternatives, helping with risk assessment and quality control, resource planning, technical issues, and timeframes; Sets local or team-based standards for programming tools and techniques, including security guidelines and the selection of appropriate development methods; Provides authoritative advice and guidance on any aspect of test planning and execution; Specifies and designs large or complex systems evaluating the impact on major design options and asses and manage associated risk; Assists Senior Management with strategy, tool and metrics development, data and statistical interpretation and analysis, and process improvement; Ensures software solution integrity, monitors system performance, and performs metrics measuring and reporting; Leads process improvement initiatives across departments; May manage development and maintenance of database query and analytical tools and metrics. Responsible for data integrity and maintenance of relational database tools. May telecommute.
Qualifications
Employer will accept a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field and 7 years of experience in the job offered or in a Software Development Staff Engineer-related occupation. Position requires experience in the following:
- Experience with multiple programming languages, operating environments and tools such as Java, Spring Boot, Spring Framework, Restful Web Services, Docker, Amazon Web Services (AWS Cloud), postgres, Gradle, Jenkins, Swagger, Splunk, Windows and Linux.
- Experience with all aspects of software engineering such as testing, source control, and agile planning with ability to lead a cross-organizational, complex project.
- Experience with various software development lifecycle stages, including requirements gathering and analysis, conceptual and detail design, development, testing and deployment with strong hands-on technical background.
- Experience working with multiple department applications subsystems and functions such as Finance, Content Management System, Configuration management systems, B2B applications, etc.
- Experience designing and developing test automation framework for unit testing and smoke testing the applications.
- Experience working with project team members in all phases of software development life cycle.
- Experience performing design and code reviews for the automotive applications as required to maintain code quality.
- Expertise with Service Oriented Architecture, Microservices and Cloud-Native application design and development
- Experience with distributed data store processing streaming data in real-time.
- Experience with delivering quality software using continuous integration and continuous delivery/continuous deployment.
Pay range for this role is $176,134.00-$202,276.00, with actual pay based on work location, job-related skills, experience and education. Role incl. variable pay and comprehensive benefits.
