Job Summary:

As an Android Developer, you will be responsible for developing, testing, and maintaining Android applications for our POS payment systems. The ideal candidate will possess advanced Android development skills, experience with DevOps tools, and a commitment to producing high-quality code. Experience with transactions and a willingness to engage in debugging and bug fixing are essential.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Android applications for POS payment systems.
• Utilize Jira for project management and tracking.
• Manage code versions and collaboration using Bitbucket.
• Understanding of Agile methodologies and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) practices.
• Create comprehensive and understandable documentation for developed features and systems.
• Conduct thorough code reviews to ensure code quality and best practices.
• Develop and execute unit tests using JUnit to ensure code reliability and stability.
• Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to deliver projects successfully.
• Debug and fix bugs in a timely manner to ensure the smooth operation of applications.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Software Engineering or a related field or relevant experience.
• 3+ years of professional mobile software development experience with Android.
• Proficiency in Java or Kotlin.
• Proficiency with Jira, Bitbucket, and Jenkins.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to creating thorough documentation.
• Strong understanding of code review guidelines and continuous improvement within the development team.
• Experience with unit testing and JUnit.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Proactive, self-motivated, and eager to learn and adapt to new technologies.
• Willingness to engage in debugging and bug fixing.

Nice to have

• Previous experience with POS payment systems, EMV and card transaction processing.
• Familiarity with transactions and related concepts.
• Knowledge of ISO 8583, a standard for systems that exchange electronic transactions made by cardholders.
