Come join Intel IT as a Software Development Engineer and help build software solutions that enable Intel's global lab and fab operations. We are looking for a motivated, hands-on developer with strong technical knowledge in software development, customer orientation, and a passion for delivering scalable, high-quality solutions. You will be part of a vibrant, cross-site team that provides full-stack software development support to meet Intel's dynamic business needs globally. In this role, you will partner with lab and fab stakeholders to design, develop, enhance, and support customized solutions that improve operational efficiency, data visibility, and business outcomes. This position offers strong opportunities to grow within IT and collaborate across Intel business groups.

• Design, develop, upgrade, and integrate standalone and web-based applications across multiple systems, tools, and enterprise data sources.

• Apply strong software engineering practices to deliver maintainable, reliable, and high-quality application features.

• Partner with software engineers, systems engineers, network engineers, database administrators, monitoring teams, and information security teams to deliver secure and production-ready capabilities.

• Engage with internal lab and fab customers to understand requirements, clarify technical details, and support solution delivery.

• Apply modern software engineering practices, including Agile delivery, code quality, automation, continuous improvement, testing, and effective release management.

• Leverage AI-assisted development tools, such as GitHub Copilot or similar technologies, to improve design quality, development efficiency, and engineering productivity.

• Work independently on assigned technical tasks with strong ownership, accountability, deliver on time and attention to quality.

• Demonstrate strong analytical thinking, troubleshooting ability, and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced technical environment.

• Communicate clearly and effectively with technical teams, customers, and business stakeholders through both written and verbal channels.

Qualifications:

Education Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related technical field, with 6+ years of relevant industry experience.

Minimum Required Qualifications:

• 6+ years of hands-on software development experience using modern programming languages such as Java, C#, Python, or equivalent technologies.

• Strong technical knowledge of software development concepts, design patterns, coding standards, debugging, testing, and application support.

• Experience delivering software solutions using Agile methodologies, including sprint planning, backlog refinement, estimation, retrospectives, and continuous improvement practices.

• Proven experience designing, developing, testing, deploying, and supporting production-quality software applications.

• Strong understanding of full-stack application development, system integration, database interaction, and secure software development practices.

• Demonstrated ability to work independently, manage priorities, troubleshoot technical issues, and deliver results in a fast-paced technical environment.

Additional Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working with manufacturing, lab, fab, engineering, or enterprise operations environments is an advantage.

• Knowledge of cloud, DevOps, CI/CD, API integration, data analytics, observability, or AI-assisted software development is a plus.

• Experience with database design, SQL, REST APIs, web application frameworks, and application integration.

• Strong troubleshooting mindset with the ability to analyze issues, identify root causes, and implement sustainable fixes.

• Ability to translate business needs into practical technical solutions and communicate clearly with stakeholders at different levels.

• Candidates with Program Manager or Business Analyst experience will have an added advantage.
