The job
As part of our R&D development group, you’ll be responsible for software quality and developing functional automated tests for AVEVA MES. You will work largely independently on moderately complex projects/assignments; You will collaborate with your team for overall success of deliverables.
Key responsibilities

Perform advanced test case design analysis beyond the obvious functionality described

Ensure deep understanding of the product and plan for comprehensive test coverage

Design, develop and implement test automation frameworks
-
Design, develop and implement functional automated tests using Microsoft technologies
-
Demonstrate sound decision making on work to be sure it is delivered in a timely manner
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
-
Utilize design, programming & analytical skills to solve problems
-
Experience with keyword and data driven test automation
-
Familiarity with development tools, such as: Visual Studio; Fiddler; Postman; Git; Code Coverage
-
Familiarity with development quality practices, to include debugging and refactoring
-
Familiarity with test automation frameworks such as MSTest, NUnit, Cypress.io, Playwright, TestComplete is a plus
-
Development experience with an OOPL is required

Experience with implementing 3rd party APIs

Experience with Agile methodologies

Experience with code coverage tools; defect tracking systems; version control systems; test case management systems; build systems

Experience with databases and TSQL

Working ability with Microsoft Office and Azure DevOps

Experience with virtualization a plus (VMWare \ Hyper-V)

Experience working with on-premises products is a plus

Experience with API test automation is a plus

Experience with test automation in a virtual environment is a plus

Good interpersonal, communication and organizational skills
