About the Role:
The Pay-in Expansion team is responsible for expanding and optimizing new payment methods to unlock new customer segments and strengthen Remitly’s positioning as a preferred choice among key customer segments. As a part of this team, you will be focused on expanding our payment network to fund transactions around the globe. As a Software Engineer II on a front-end leaning, full-stack team, you will solve technical challenges in partnership with several teams across the company. This role is hybrid.

You Will:

  • Build for scale : Design and implement solutions for ambiguous and complex problems using full stack technologies ( React,GraphQL, Java/Kotlin) that operate at scale.

  • Design: Participate in the brainstorming, technical design, and grooming of the next generation of Lending with a data-driven and customer-centric viewpoint.

  • Craft with pride: Focus on overall product quality and build.

  • Collaborate: You will work with product managers, data scientists and other engineers to understand requirements and translate them into scalable, high-quality software solutions.

  • Report to the Engineering Manager of the Money Movement Experience team.

You Have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; or equivalent work experience.

  • 6+ years of experience in software engineering.

  • Experience working across the stack delivering products that delight end-users.

  • Proficiency in one or more general purpose languages like Java, JavaScript, Go, PHP, Python, Kotlin, C# or Ruby

  • Experience working with Product Management and other partners such as Design.

Compensation Details.

The starting base salary range for this position is $115,000-$140,000. In Canada, Remitly employees are shareholders in our Company and equity is part of our total compensation plan.
