Our technologies: We endeavour to build simple, reliable systems and we believe in using the best technologies for each task. Technologies we use across GoCardless include: Ruby on Rails, Golang, Python, JavaScript, TypeScript, React, Postgres, BigQuery, Kubernetes, Elasticsearch, Prometheus, Google Cloud (GCP).

About Data Platform
Our team’s mission is to “Drive increased data dependability and cost-efficiency by providing a best-in-class data platform so everyone can autonomously build data-driven applications that drive increased operational and revenue efficiency.”.
In pursuit of our mission, The team is driven by 3 strategic pillars:
- FinOps and Cloud Cost Optimisation: We will continue to take direction action to ensure we deliver a cost efficient platform and empower teams to be financially responsible
- Data Governance: We are responsible for building tooling to enable effective data stewardship.
- Data Dependability: We are responsible for building a platform that ensures that the data is available and fit for purpose, by providing tooling that measures and enforces data quality and platform reliability

What We Do
GoCardless is on a mission to take the pain out of getting paid for businesses with recurring revenue.
We’ve created a global bank debit network, to rival credit and debit cards. On top of it, we’ve built a platform designed and optimised for taking invoice, subscription, membership and instalment payments.
We now process $13bn in transactions a year and we’re proud to count 50,000 businesses around the world as our customers, from small businesses to household names like TripAdvisor and the Guardian.
Our recurring payments platform integrates with the applications businesses use every day, giving businesses more visibility over payments and saving them huge amounts of time on tasks like payment reconciliation.
