Software Development Engineer - COBOL, DB2

We are looking for a Software Development Engineer I who brings mainframe (COBOL, DB2) development experience, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and collaborates effectively with QA, Business Analysts, and customers. The ideal candidate is a hands-on mainframe engineer who enjoys untangling data challenges and delivering reliable code in a high‑stakes environment.

We are looking for a Software Development Engineer I who will:

• Report to the Manager of Software Development designing, writing code in COBOL, modifying and debugging CSG product applications while analyzing and performing bug verification, release testing, and beta support for assigned products
• Review feature requests with key stakeholders and work with other team members to ensure successful feature delivery
• Work with a team of developers and QA members as they define complex client implementations, addressing production problems, or developing productivity enabling tool
• Be involved in cross-team meetings focused on release and solution planning

Is this opportunity right for you? We are looking for candidates who:

• Have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, related field, or equivalent experience
• Have -4 years of development experience with COBOL programming language
• Have experience with some of these following tools: DB2, SQL, T-SQL, JCL/PROCS and/or PowerShell
• Have a proven track record of engaging with a team in an Agile/Lean environment
• Are proficient in English in a business environment
