About the Team
Join our team to build the tools that support the consumption, testing, and monitoring of Workday’s APIs. We’re responsible for enabling developers and partners to more easily use REST, SOAP, and GraphQL APIs. We value innovation, teamwork, and ownership. Responsibilities:
- Contribute to all aspects of the software development lifecycle, from design and development to testing and deployment.
- Collaborate with designers and back-end developers to implement and integrate front-end components.
- Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability.
- Write clean, well-documented, and testable code.
- Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback.
- Be proactive to identify hotspots in the platform and address them before they trigger incidents.
- Collaborate with multi-functional partner teams and ensure the platform meets their requirements.
- Provide guidelines and standard processes to the multi-functional teams based on infrastructure principles; enable them to deliver services that are highly available, secure, performant and cost effective.
About You
Basic Qualifications-Software Development Engineer4+ years of experience in front-end software development using React, Javascript, and Typescript to implement component-based UI architectures
2+ years of experience in front-end software development using React, Javascript, and Typescript to implement component-based UI architectures
Strong programming skills using Object-Oriented Principles in web application development.
Experience contributing to ML based projects is preferred
Experience with Amazon Web services is preferred
Experience of full life-cycle software engineering practices including coding standards, testing, code reviews, and source control management
Proficient in technical writing documentation
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Self-motivated with a strong sense of ownership.
Hands-on experience with source control, IDE, unit testing, debugging, profiling, JIRA, TeamCity, etc.
Familiarity with Web Service infrastructure (XML/Schema, WSDL, SOAP, REST, XSLT, SAX, etc.)
Experience with GraphQL desirable
Software localization and translation infrastructure experience desirable
BS or higher degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering or a related field

The annualized base salary ranges for the primary location and any additional locations are listed below. Workday pay ranges vary based on work location. As a part of the total compensation package, this role may be eligible for the Workday Bonus Plan or a role-specific commission/bonus, as well as annual refresh stock grants.
