• Summary of the Role

  Join us as a Software Development Engineer and help build solutions used by teams across Amadeus. In this role, you'll contribute to the development of full-stack applications using Python and Angular while collaborating with colleagues across multiple locations. You'll have opportunities to work with modern technologies, enhance internal platforms, and help improve the experience of users throughout the software development lifecycle.

  Amadeus provides a wide range of applications for both internal and external users. To support these applications, teams rely on tools that assist with development, operations, monitoring, and continuous improvement.

  The TAB team, within GFA, provides tools that support the efficient operation of Amadeus products and services.

  Our users include teams involved throughout the software development lifecycle. We provide solutions that help teams monitor applications, manage ticket backlogs effectively, and analyze data to improve their processes. These teams support important internal platforms, testing environments, and production services used by Amadeus customers.

  Team Organization and Solution

  We are an Agile Scrum team supported by a dedicated Product Owner and Scrum Master. Most team members are based in Sophia Antipolis, with additional colleagues located in Nice and Belgrade.

  Our team develops several products and works in a collaborative environment where team members can contribute across multiple initiatives. This provides opportunities to develop skills in different technologies and work closely with diverse user communities.

  Our main products include:

  • Ambrosia, a synthetic functional monitoring framework that helps monitor application usability across Amadeus.

  • Forge, a platform that helps transform proof-of-concept (POC) ideas into applications deployed on Microsoft Azure and available across Amadeus.

  What Is the Mission and Its Challenges?

  As a Software Development Engineer, you'll contribute to and guide the evolution of the platform infrastructure so users have access to efficient, reliable, and well-documented solutions.

  You'll also help explore how Artificial Intelligence (AI) can improve both team workflows and product capabilities. Working in an Agile environment, you'll have opportunities to deepen expertise in specific technologies or broaden your knowledge across the team's technology stack.

  Education

  • Master's degree, Engineering degree, or equivalent practical experience in Computer Science or a related field.

  • Professional proficiency in English.

  In This Role You'll / Your Main Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test, and maintain full-stack applications using Python and Angular.

  • Contribute to the evolution and reliability of platforms used across the software development lifecycle.

  • Collaborate with users, Product Owners, and team members to deliver solutions that improve operational efficiency and application monitoring.

  • Contribute to Artificial Intelligence (AI) initiatives and help identify opportunities to enhance products and team processes.

  • Share knowledge, participate in Agile ceremonies, and support continuous improvement across the team.

  About the Ideal Candidate

  • Experience developing full-stack applications using Python-based technologies and a three-tier architecture (Web, Application, and Database layers).

  • Good knowledge of at least one of the following: Angular and TypeScript, Python 3, MongoDB, or Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies.

  • Understanding of software engineering practices such as Test-Driven Development (TDD) and Agile methodologies.

  • Experience working collaboratively in a software development environment and contributing to technical discussions.

  • Familiarity with technologies such as Microsoft Azure, Docker, Kubernetes, or Java.
