The RoleAspenTech is looking for a talented and energetic Developer to join the Enterprise Operations Platform (EOP) organization. In this position, you will be a member of an Agile development team responsible for the delivery of our next-generation industrial software platform. This solution will provide a software defined, data-centric, flexible platform which enables automation for AspenTech’s diverse customer base. This role’s contributions have highly visible impacts on the success and scalability of our software offerings to our customers.
As part of the EOP team, you will join an R&D organization whose work directly impacts consumers across a variety of critical infrastructures. Our organization and product are positioned in the market to grow at a rapid pace over the next decade with massive opportunities for career growth.

Your Impact

• Actively participate with team members as part of a scaled Agile organization.
• Take high level strategic requirements and work with a team to refine them into actionable user stories with detailed acceptance criteria.
• Produce reliable, performant, and fault tolerant code to meet strategic business objectives.
• Contribute to a culture of accountability and collaboration across a variety of support, development, security, and product teams.
• Continually demonstrate adherence to security best practices and compliance requirements.
• Stay current with industry trends and best practices around cloud native and Software-as-a-Service technologies.

What You'll Need

• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 3-5 years of related experience OR an advanced degree with less experience.
• A basic understanding of cloud native technologies, services, and architecture.
• Basic knowledge of IoT or Edge devices and an understanding of their strengths, weaknesses, constraints, and risks.
• Experience with one or more of the following:
  • Databases: MongoDB, Postgres, MSSQL, Cassandra
  • Programming Languages: Java, C#, Python
  • Web Frameworks: Angular, React
  • JavaScript Frameworks: Devextreme
  • Source Version Control: Git
  • Continuous Integration: Jenkins, Github Actions
  • Windows and Linux platforms
  • Cloud (Azure, AWS), Docker, Kubernetes, Helm
  • Observability and Monitoring
• Experience with Agile development frameworks such as SAFe or Scrum.
• Strong personal project management skills; able to be self-directed and capable of working effectively in an environment with a high degree of change.
• Potential and willingness to take on technical leadership opportunities when they arise.
• Willingness to contribute ideas and solutions while honoring and supporting the ideas of others.
• Strong object-oriented design and debugging skills.
• Passionate about finding creative solutions to problems, and pride in well-crafted code.

The salary range for this role is $90,200.00 - $112,800.00. This range represents what we in good faith believe is the range possible for base compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range based on several factors. This range may be modified in the future. This role is also eligible for bonus or variable incentive pay.
