Experienced Software Developer, Lund

Are you passionate about building reliable software solutions that turn cutting-edge R&D into real-world products? We’re looking for a skilled Software Developer to strengthen our R&D Production Test team in Lund. In this role, you’ll play a vital part in ensuring that Axis’ innovative products make a smooth transition from development to production — and ultimately into the hands of customers around the globe.

Who is your future team?  

In this role, you'll join a dynamic team dedicated to enhancing our global product test environment. We achieve this by actively collaborating with stakeholders to gather requirements, subsequently improving our test software and the API that interfaces with the production system. Your responsibilities will include C programming, API development, hands-on product interaction, and problem-solving.

Our team serves as the critical link between R&D projects and production testing. We are committed to supporting both sides effectively while continuously challenging existing methodologies to drive innovation. With members from around the world, English is our primary language of communication. This position is based at Axis's headquarters in Lund, Sweden.

Your Role as a Software Developer

Reliable, stable production is fundamental to delivering our products to customers on schedule. In this role, you'll continuously enhance the quality of our testing processes and production software.

Your key responsibilities include:

• Developing APIs that connects product test software with production test systems
• Supporting product projects through production software development
• Monitoring our daily build lab, diagnosing issues, and taking actions on failures
• Maintaining and optimizing production software
• Managing Jenkins daily builds and release jobs, building weekly releases
• Operating within a Linux-based environment

Who are you?  

We're seeking a team player who values collaboration and meeting stakeholder commitments. You're approachable, transparent, and excel at troubleshooting challenges.

We'd love to hear that you have:  

• Embedded systems and API development experience
• A master's degree in Computer Science or related field
• Proficiency in C/C++ programming and familiarity with Python and/or other scripting languages
• Enthusiasm for learning new programming languages
• Strong communication skills in English and/or Swedish

Additional valuable experience:

• Git, Gerrit, Yocto, Bitbake and Jenkins
• Product production and testing environments
