The Role
Job Summary & ResponsibilitiesOVERVIEW/GENERAL PURPOSE OF POSITION

The Software Developer Level 3 reviews, analyzes, designs, and develops, unit tests, benchmarks, debugs and documents large and complex software systems. Able to leverage experiences and sound judgment to plan and accomplish complicated tasks. Able to assist and mentor other developers, and may be asked to lead small to medium-sized projects when business needs arise.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Performs program design, development, benchmark and unit testing, debugging, and documentation.
  • Able to work independently and just consults the lead or manager from time to time.
  • Effectively collaborates across teams and can lead those interactions inside and outside the department.
  • May be asked to lead small to medium-complexity projects, when business needs require for it.
  • Ensures that software development conventions and software development life cycle practices are followed, including industry-best practices.
  • Support production systems, analyze and solve problems, and configure systems within the computing environment.
  • Able to do design work for complex projects. May conduct reviews for design and implementation done by other peers.
  • Can be a go-to person for certain processes, product areas or functional-specific domains
  • Provides management with task breakdown, effort estimates and dependencies for areas assigned in projects. Provides reliable long-term planning deliverables.
  • Provides work direction, mentors and guides other developers in the team.
  • Demonstrates ability to solve complex problems.
  • Has a good understanding of the business space and complex business flows.
  • Provide management with status reports regularly and escalate risks timely so that the project schedule can be properly maintained.
  • Investigate and resolve production issues in a timely manner while observing service-level parameters.
  • Introduces new approaches and innovation in software design and implementation.
  • Excellent communication skills to gain credibility within business leaders and IT teams.
  • Strong team player who contributes to success of the team, and in turn, to the department and company.
REQUIREMENTS – Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  1. Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
  2. In depth understanding of object-oriented programming, software development life cycle
  3. In depth understanding of the concept of relational database design and database programming.
  4. Customer Service Oriented
  5. Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  6. Ability to organize priorities in workload and manage time
  7. In depth understanding of object-oriented programming, software development life cycle
  8. In depth understanding of relational database concepts and programming
  9. Proven ability to implement a software solution from inception to production
  10. 6+ years’ experience Microsoft .NET Framework and C#, ASP.NET
  11. 6+ years’ experience on Microsoft SQL Server (preferably 2008 and up), TSQL, SSIS
  12. Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills
  13. Experience with Service oriented architectures, web Services
  14. Experience with Scrum and/or Agile
  15. Experience in healthcare setting (provider/payer environment)
  16. Experience with workflow tools/business process management suites
  17. Experience with VS Team System
  18. Experience with WCF, Entity Framework
  19. Experience with unit testing tools/frameworks
