The Force Protection Division is looking for a Software Developer – Command and Control (C2) Applications to support the configuration, integration, customization, and operationalization of command-and-control (C2), Common Operating Picture (COP), workflow orchestration, and situational awareness applications supporting the Rock Island Arsenal Increased Access OTA Prototype.
This position focuses on enabling operational awareness, workflow automation, event management, alerting, data fusion, and user experience enhancements within the unified operational environment.
The Software Developer works closely with the Software & Platform Engineering Lead, Systems Engineering team, and operational stakeholders to support mission-focused application capabilities..
Primary Responsibilities
- C2 / COP Application Integration
- Configure and integrate command-and-control applications.
- Support Common Operating Picture implementation activities.
- Assist with operational dashboard development.
- Support event management and alerting functions.
- Workflow Automation
- Develop and configure operational workflows.
- Support workflow orchestration activities.
- Assist with automated notification and response processes.
- Support user-focused workflow optimization.
- Data Fusion & Operational Awareness
- Support integration of multiple data sources.
- Assist with sensor-to-COP integration.
- Support operational awareness functions.
- Help improve information presentation and usability.
- User Experience Support
- Support operator-focused application configuration.
- Assist with dashboard and display optimization.
- Incorporate operator feedback into application refinements.
- Support training and familiarization activities.
- Testing & Operational Validation
- Support operational workflow testing.
- Assist with integration and interoperability validation.
- Support Government demonstrations.
- Participate in operational readiness activities.
Basic Qualifications
- BS and 4 – 8 years of prior relevant experience or master’s with 2 – 6 years of prior relevant experience.
- Experience executing agile development methodologies and practices
- Windows Application Development with C# / .NET Framework
- Windows Server Environments
- Using REST API’s and Web-based Development
- Using SDKs to enable Systems Integrations
- Developing and Maintaining Relational Databases
- Knowledge of Cybersecurity Best Practices
- US citizenship and current secret clearance
Preferred Qualifications
- Physical security or force protection systems experience.
- Knowledge of software optimization techniques
- Experience writing software technical documentation
- Experience supporting US Army or other DoW customers
- Experience with Message Brokers (ex. Apache Kafka, Redis)
- Cloud-based Development & Deployment experience (Infrastructure as Code)
