Job Description

IFS Cloud for Aviation Maintenance (ICAM) is a program under Aerospace & Defense business unit at IFS and is looking for smart and enthusiastic professionals to join our club of engineering. If you are an innovative, out of the box problem solver with a strong background in Engineering and Software Architecture, then this is a unique opportunity for you to marvel your career with a global team of engineering at IFS. We are looking for a passionate “Software Architect” for the JD listed below.

1. Understand the product roadmap & strategy, then design the solution architecture for its smooth implementation.
2. Evaluate and select the technology stack, skills, and conduct cost benefit analysis for the solutions to facilitate management decisions.
3. Conduct continuous design & code reviews in guiding the engineering teams on Design principles, patterns, secure and clean code practices.
4. Review and provide inputs for the DevOps teams in CI/CD implementations for DevSecOps transformations.
5. Review and provide inputs for the Test Strategies including unit tests, integration tests and e2e UI tests.
6. Hands on involvement in developing PoC/experiments for NFR requirements, technical concepts, and test frameworks under research activities.
7. Regularly collaborate with IFS’s framework development teams, Technical Design Authority and etc. in providing inputs as well as receiving the direction on technology evolution.

Qualifications

1. Degree in Computer Science, IT or equivalent qualification.
2. Should have a proven background in software development at least with five to eight years of experience.
3. Must have hands on experience with Java stack and exposure to J2EE application development with EJB/Wildfly is a definite plus.
4. Experience with JavaScript technologies on Angular, Node JS is a definite addition to the inventory.
5. Experience and knowledge on design principles on SOLID, DRY, WET is a must.
6. Ability to design modular solutions with REST based (ODATA) protocols is expected.
7. Should have a strong ability in Database design, ETL processes and Data Marts.
8. Experience with AKS, Docker and containerization strategies is preferred.
9. Knowledge in Secure code development, OWASP guidelines, Performance Engineering, Chaos Engineering, CI/CD is expected.
10. Must have strong communication skills alongside teamwork and leadership.
11. Experience in agile methodologies is a great value addition along with agile estimations and tools as JIRA, bitbucket and confluence.
12. Ability to implement static scanning and Linter tools for code quality is expected. Example, Sonar Cloud, Sonar Lint etc.
