Job Summary

The Social Sales Manager is responsible for effectively soliciting and securing weddings and social events and social room blocks.

The Social Sales Manager will work in conjunction with the Director of Marketing and Director of Catering to achieve the Hotel’s revenue and market share goals. The Social Sales Manager sells the guest rooms and event space to maximize revenue potential for the Hotel and to ensure that the Customer has the best possible experience.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Effectively attain assigned sales and catering revenue goals, as well as prospecting call goals.
  • Proactively conduct prospecting calls, conduct sales and catering tours and entertain clients when needed.
  • Grow existing relationships with assigned accounts and market segment.
  • Produce Resumes for all booked events and blocks to communicate all details of stay/ program to the rest of the hotel.
  • Facilitate all booked catering events from start to finish, including being on property to execute event with the Banquet Team.
  • Monitor and evaluate trends within your market segment.
  • Work closely with Director of PR in developing content for social media
  • Follow up promptly on leads, follow-up and process group blocks & social catering events
  • Participate in development of all promotions related to assigned market segment needs.
  • Continuously refine product/concept offering and become familiar and active within our comp set.
  • Approach all encounters with guests and employees in an attentive, friendly courteous and service-oriented manner.
  • Maintain files and current trace dates, accurate history, and all relevant booking activities.
  • Adheres to Four Seasons’ established regulations, company standards sales standards and related sales metrics.
  • Develop a full working knowledge of the operations and policies of the Hotel and applicable departments.
  • Develop a complete understanding of the F & B department and back of house operations.
  • Maintain strong visibility in local community and industry organizations as applicable.
  • Attend daily/weekly/monthly meetings and any other functions required by management.

Job Requirement:

  • 1 Year Luxury Hotel Experience required in a guest facing role
  • Must possess verbal and written communication skills to frequently negotiate, convince, sell and influence other managerial personnel, hotel guest(s) and/or corporate clients.
  • Experience with professional selling skills desired: opening, probing, supporting, closing
  • Must be proficient in general computer knowledge, especially Microsoft Office products
  • Must be able to work independently and simultaneously manage multiple tasks, strong organization and presentation skills
  • Knowledge of Opera and Golden Sales and Catering a plus
