The Role
At Kogan.com, we move fast, think commercially, and create content that drives real impact. We’re looking for a hands-on Social Media Specialist who can turn trends into high-performing content that stops people mid-scroll. This is a creator-led role;  not just a strategist or mobile shooter.

You’ll independently shoot with a camera, edit short-form video, capture stills, and deliver social-first content optimised for performance across Kogan.com, Matt Blatt and Brosa. You’ll bring ideas to life with energy and pace, producing engaging, on-brand content that captures attention, builds brand affinity and supports commercial outcomes.

Working closely with the wider Marketing team, you’ll translate insights, trends and briefs into scroll-stopping creative that performs across platforms. This role is well suited to someone who has built a strong foundation in content creation and social media, and is ready to take greater ownership, creative responsibility and impact within a fast-paced commercial environment.

In this role you'll be responsible for:

  • Filming high-quality video content for Kogan-owned channels, including social, performance and website assets.
  • Editing content end-to-end, optimising outputs for each platform, format and campaign objective.
  • Stepping in front of the camera or behind the mic when required for product demos, storytelling, BTS and UGC-style content.
  • Planning and leading shoots, including directing talent, setting up scenes and ensuring creative concepts are delivered to brand standards.
  • Supporting Kogan FIRST Live Giveaway drawsIdeating and developing creative concepts for social-first content across Instagram, TikTok, Meta, LinkedIn and emerging platforms.
  • Testing new formats, hooks and creative approaches to maximise engagement and watch-through.
  • Using performance data and insights to refine creative direction and content strategy.
  • Writing captions that complement and elevate content.
  • Collaborating with Campaign, Brand and Product teams to deliver content for key initiatives and promotions.
  • Staying across cultural moments, creator trends and platform updates to maintain an always-on social presence.

To be successful in this role, you should be:

  • University Degree qualified in a relevant field (Marketing, Communications or similar)
  • Confident in video production and editing, ideally using Adobe Premiere Pro.
  • Comfortable filming on mobile and independently capturing social-first content, including stills and short-form video.
  • Experienced with voiceovers, filming, and directing shoots.
  • Confident stepping in front of the camera when required.A trends expert who can understand platform behaviour, video techniques, and apply them creatively.
  • Able to manage multiple stakeholders, projects, and deadlines effectively.
  • Methodical and data-driven, with a test-and-learn mentality and the ability to break down insights.
  • Highly organised with excellent attention to detail.
  • Able to translate ideas into engaging, high-impact content that performs across platforms.
  • Energetic and ambitious, bringing ideas to life with pace, creativity, and commercial focus.
