Circle is building the world’s leading all-in-one platform for online communities. We make it possible for creators, coaches, educators, and businesses to bring together their audience with engaging discussions, live streams, events, chat, courses, and payments — all in one place, all under their own brand.
We’re proud to be a fully remote company of around 200 (and growing!) team members from 30+ countries around the world. We seek exceptional individuals around the world, set them up to do the best work of their lives, and in turn, create a meaningful impact in their own lives. We don't track hours, but we do manage for high expectations very closely. We collaborate across time zones, are highly async, and like to document a lot.
Twice a year, we bring the whole company together in beautiful places around the world for our company offsites. So far, we’ve hosted offsites in Turkey, Portugal, Mexico, Thailand, Colombia, Italy, Ireland, and more, with still more to come!

We’re hiring a Social Media Lead to help build Circle’s social and media function from the ground up. Circle has one of the most interesting brands in the creator economy, but our social accounts don’t yet reflect the strength of the brand or reach the audience they should. This role is a chance to help change that — turning strong ideas, customer stories, partner moments, and long-form content into social content people actually want to watch and share. You’ll help build the engine: creating the content, supporting the strategy, and helping establish the rhythm and systems that make strong output repeatable. Reporting to our VP of Partnerships and Creator Growth, you’ll work closely with our founders and leadership team, as well as teammates across Community, Events, Product Marketing, Partnerships, and our Design Studio, to help Circle show up on social with more clarity, consistency, and ambition.
This is a remote role, however candidates must be based in New York City or the surrounding area so they can work in studio when needed. There is no expectation of working from a studio daily, but proximity is required.
What you'll be doing- Execute Circle’s social content strategy across channels, helping translate direction into strong, platform-native output.
- Produce and publish social-first content with a strong emphasis on short-form video.
- Edit video independently, including cutting clips, shaping hooks, writing captions, and packaging content for distribution.
- Build and maintain the content operating rhythm, including calendar management, capture workflows, and coordination across teams.
- Partner with leadership and other stakeholders to identify content opportunities tied to partnerships, events, community, and customer stories.
- Collaborate on longer-form content development so shoots are designed with short-form distribution in mind from the start.
- Attend Circle’s events and key moments to capture content and support Circle’s presence on social (this role will require travel up to 25% of the time).
- Track leading indicators like non-follower reach, watch-through, saves, shares, and cadence consistency, and use them to improve execution over time.
- Bring practical recommendations on formats, workflows, and content opportunities based on what’s working.
- Experience creating content for a tech, SaaS, creator economy, or community-led brand, with a clear understanding of how those audiences engage with social content.
- Video editing and production skills, including the ability to work independently in Adobe Premiere or a comparable professional editing tool to create polished short-form content quickly.
- Deep fluency across platforms like Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and LinkedIn, with a solid grasp of what each platform is rewarding and how non-follower reach compounds over time.
- A clear point of view on what earns attention on social, with the ability to identify what’s working, what isn’t, and why.
- Awareness of the social and creator economy landscape, including fluency in how brands in our space are showing up today and what separates the ones that break through.
- Comfort being on camera when needed and capturing content independently in a fully remote environment.
- Operational instincts and the ability to build repeatable systems for planning, capture, and cross-functional coordination.
- Good judgment in cross-functional environments, with a clear understanding of how to support a long-term social strategy centered on non-follower reach and the ability to recognize when requests may conflict with those goals.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English (CEFR C2 or equivalent), as most collaboration at Circle happens asynchronously.
