The Coordinator, Social Media is part of the In-House Agency, this individual will develop and execute Freedom Mortgage's marketing efforts and campaigns across multiple social media channels. They will be an expert in executing the social strategy and performing the tactical and oversight functions related to planning, coordinating, proofing, and executing all social-related marketing for the given area of assignment, as well as community management. The Social Media Coordinator will work closely with the Associate Director of Social Media. As part of Freedom Mortgage's In-House Agency, the candidate should ideally have experience in the mortgage industry. Prior agency experience is a plus.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Implement Freedom Mortgage's social media strategy with clear objectives and goals which may vary by channel/platform.

  • Maintain a content calendar to ensure a consistent posting schedule and alignment with marketing initiatives, product launches, and key events.

  • Develop and curate consistent, meaningful content on all social media platforms, including writing copy, designing, and editing social media posts across existing and new enterprise mediums, including but not limited to Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Pinterest, Threads and TikTok.

  • Partner with other teams to align and highlight company business goals, values, and achievements on social media channels.

  • Maintain voice, tone, personality, and curation of content to drive growth and engagement across all social media channels.

  • Assist with managing social engagements (comments, messages, and mentions) for each of our channels and respond to or assist customers in a timely manner.

  • Assist with tracking and analyzing social media performance metrics, including engagement, reach, and conversions, and provide regular reports and insights to optimize strategies and content.

  • Use social listening tools to gather insights into customer preferences, sentiment, and behavior, and leverage data to inform content strategies and campaign optimizations.

  • Keep up to date with the latest social media trends and emerging social media platforms in the industry.

  • Maintain regular and punctual attendance.

This position is an individual contributor with no direct reports but may provide guidance, leadership, or training to others.

Qualifications:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

Education and/or Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing or related field.

  • 2-3 years of experience in organic social media or digital marketing

  • Proficiency in managing social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, TikTok, and others.

  • Excellent understanding of social media platforms, content performance, and audiences

  • Experience with social media management tools such as SproutSocial.

  • Strong copywriting and design skills.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively engage with audiences and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

  • Familiarity with the following applications is a plus: SproutSocial, Canva, and Smartsheet

  • Mortgage industry experience is preferred.

Ability to read words and to recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers. Ability to comprehend and write simple instructions, correspondence, and memos. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

Mathematical Skills:

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, and percentages.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Requires moderate interpersonal and communication skills to ensure that customer requests or needs are met. Acknowledges and clarifies customer inquiries, requests, or complaints to ensure that needs are identified, documented and addressed.
