To strengthen its digital presence and
audience engagement, the firm requires consistent, high-quality content across
its social media platforms, including LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube,
and TikTok. Video is the primary format for reaching and growing the firm’s
audiences, supported by poster designs for announcements and campaigns.
Against this background, KKCO East
Africa LLP seeks to engage a professional consultant to manage its social media
channels and to plan, shoot, edit, and publish engaging video content. The
consultant will work closely with the Business Development and Marketing team,
which provides strategic direction, messaging, branding guidance, and
scheduling.
The purpose of this consultancy is to
engage a skilled social media and video content professional who will:
• Manage
and grow the firm’s social media presence through planned, consistent, and
professionally published content;
• Produce
a steady pipeline of platform-ready video content (approximately 90% of
output), based on 4 video shoots per week;
• Produce
supporting posters and graphics (approximately 10% of output);
• Transform
the firm’s technical knowledge, client activities, training programmes, and
professional insights into clear, attractive, and engaging digital content;
• Build
visibility, credibility, audience engagement, and qualified business
opportunities for the firm.
• Deliver
a consistent volume of high-quality video, poster, and social media content
aligned with the firm’s business-development priorities;
• Maintain
a regular publishing schedule across all approved platforms;
• Grow
audience reach, followers, engagement, video views, and qualified business
enquiries;
• Maintain
a well-organized library of raw and edited assets for the firm’s future use;
• Strengthen
brand consistency and professional standards across all digital outputs.
The consultant will be responsible for
the full content production and social media management cycle:
• Plan,
record, edit, and prepare for publication high-quality short-form and long-form
video content;
• Carry
out 5 video shoots per week, covering events, interviews, training sessions,
webinars, and client-facing activities as agreed in the content calendar;
• Set
up and operate camera, lighting, and audio equipment to professional standards;
• Edit
interviews, webinars, training highlights, client testimonials, event footage,
and thought-leadership videos;
• Create
short-form videos, reels, promotional clips, explainers, and social media
advertisements;
• Convert
long-form webinars, interviews, and presentations into short, engaging social
media clips;
• Add
captions, subtitles, transitions, graphics, music (licensed or royalty-free),
voiceovers, and branded elements;
• Improve
sound quality, lighting, framing, and the overall presentation of recorded
content;
• Adapt
each video to the technical specifications and best practices of each target
platform (aspect ratios, lengths, formats);
• Incorporate
feedback through an agreed number of revision rounds (two rounds per
deliverable unless otherwise agreed).
• Develop
and maintain a monthly social media content calendar aligned with the firm’s
business-development priorities;
• Create,
schedule, and publish content across KKCO East Africa LLP’s approved social
media platforms;
• Write
professional captions, headlines, calls to action, and campaign messages;
• Maintain
a consistent posting schedule;
• Adapt
content to suit the format, audience, and tone of each platform;
• Monitor
comments, enquiries, mentions, and audience engagement, and respond to or
escalate online enquiries through the appropriate internal channels;
• Support
the growth of the firm’s followers, reach, engagement, and qualified business
enquiries.
• Design
professional posters, social media posts, carousels, banners, event
announcements, and digital advertisements (approximately 10% of output);
• Translate
technical tax, audit, finance, governance, and advisory content into simple and
engaging messages;
• Work
with technical teams to develop thought-leadership content, professional
insights, and educational campaigns;
• Develop
reusable templates that maintain visual consistency across the firm’s
communication;
• Source
or create appropriate photographs, graphics, illustrations, and other visual
elements;
• Ensure
content is accurate, professional, and approved before publication.
• Support
the promotion of the firm’s training programmes, webinars, events, and service
offerings;
• Capture
quality photographs and videos during events, staff activities, and
client-facing programmes;
• Produce
pre-event, live-event, and post-event content, including participant
testimonials, speaker highlights, and event recap videos;
• Support
email and social media campaigns intended to generate registrations, leads, and
enquiries;
• Coordinate
content requirements with speakers, facilitators, partners, and internal teams.
• Develop
social media content that supports the firm’s business-development and
client-conversion objectives;
• Create
clear calls to action that direct audiences to registration pages, service
enquiries, and consultation opportunities;
• Support
approved paid social media campaigns and monitor their performance;
• Track
social media reach, impressions, engagement, audience growth, video views,
conversions, and enquiries generated through digital platforms;
• Prepare
and submit monthly social media and campaign-performance reports;
• Identify
the content formats, topics, and platforms generating the strongest results and
recommend improvements;
• Monitor
relevant digital trends and competitor activity.
• Apply
the firm’s brand identity consistently across all digital content;
• Ensure
that published content reflects the firm’s professional standards and values;
• Protect
client confidentiality and obtain the required approval before publishing
client-related material;
• Maintain
appropriate image, music, video, and content usage rights;
• Review
content for spelling, grammar, visual quality, and factual accuracy before
publication;
• Deliver
all final files plus all raw footage and project files to the firm;
• Maintain
an organized digital asset library (clear folder structure and file naming) and
a content-production tracker showing assignments, owners, approval status, and
publication dates.
• The
consultancy will run for an initial period of 3 months from the date of
contract signature, renewable subject to satisfactory performance and mutual
agreement.
• Estimated
level of effort: 5 shoot days per week (approximately 20 per month), plus
editing, design, publishing, and community-management time, to be scheduled in
advance through the monthly content calendar.
• The
consultant will report to the Business Development Team Lead / Designated
Partner and work closely with the Business Development and Marketing team.
• Brief
check-ins will be held weekly to review upcoming shoots, publishing schedules,
feedback, and priorities.
• Performance
will be reviewed against the scope of work in Section 4; satisfactory delivery
is the basis for monthly payment and contract renewal.
8.1 The Consultant will:
• Provide
and maintain their own professional equipment (camera, lenses, lighting, audio,
editing workstation and software), unless otherwise agreed in the contract;
• Hold
the necessary rights/licenses for all software and music used;
• Arrange
their own transport to shoot locations within the Nairobi metropolitan area;
• Comply
with the firm’s branding, marketing, and confidentiality guidelines, and obtain
consent and approval before publishing content featuring clients or
individuals;
• Keep
all materials and information confidential and use them only for this
assignment.
• Provide
briefs, messaging guidance, branding assets, and access to events, locations,
speakers, and interviewees;
• Provide
consolidated feedback and content approvals within agreed timelines;
• Settle
invoices promptly in line with the payment schedule.
• The
consultant will be paid a fixed monthly fee as agreed in the service contract,
payable upon submission of the monthly activity and performance report and
verification of deliverables.
• Payments
are subject to satisfactory completion and approval of deliverables.
• The
consultant is responsible for their own taxes, insurance, and statutory
obligations as an independent contractor. This is a consultancy, not an
employment relationship.
• All
content produced under this consultancy — including raw footage, photographs,
posters, graphics, project files, templates, and final edits — is the exclusive
property of KKCO East Africa LLP.
• The
consultant may showcase completed work in their portfolio only with prior
written permission from the firm.
Essential:
• Bachelor’s
degree or diploma in Communications, Digital Marketing, Media Studies, Film
Production, Journalism, Public Relations, Graphic Design, or a related field;
• Minimum
3 years of relevant experience in social media management, video production and
editing, or digital content production;
• Demonstrable
professional video-editing skills using applications such as Adobe Premiere
Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, CapCut, or equivalent software;
• Experience
managing organizational or commercial social media accounts, including
scheduling, publishing, and analytics;
• Graphic
design proficiency using Canva, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, or equivalent
tools;
• Strong
written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to simplify technical
information;
• A
portfolio demonstrating previous video, social media, and digital-content work.
Desirable:
• Experience
producing content for professional services, accounting, audit, tax, finance,
or consulting firm;
• Experience
filming and editing webinars, interviews, training programmes, and corporate
events;
• Experience
with motion graphics or animation;
• Experience
managing paid social media advertising;
• Knowledge
of website content management and email-marketing platforms;
• Understanding
of search-engine optimization and digital lead generation.

the deadline stated in the call for applications:
1. A
CV highlighting relevant experience;
2. A
portfolio or links showing at least three edited videos, at least two
short-form social media videos or reels, and examples of social media graphics
or campaigns for a business, institution, or professional brand;
3. A
brief technical proposal outlining approach, availability, and proposed content
workflow;
4. A
financial proposal (monthly rate, inclusive of equipment).
Only shortlisted candidates will be
contacted. Shortlisted candidates may be asked to complete a short practical
editing exercise. Applications submitted without a video-editing portfolio may
not be considered.
• Either
party may terminate the contract with 30 days’ written notice; payment will be
made for deliverables satisfactorily completed up to the termination date.
• The
consultant shall immediately inform the firm of any issue that may affect the
timely delivery of this assignment.
• This
ToR may be amended only in writing with the agreement of both parties.
