Who we are
Chowdeck is an on-demand delivery service for Africa. We deliver food, medicine, groceries and other packages seamlessly while providing customers with a platform to order from their favourite vendors.
At Chowdeck, we deeply value growth, excellence, speed, and empathy. Our team is a tight-knit group of creative problem solvers who are smart, kind, and committed to helping each other grow.
Where you come in
We're looking for someone who understands how culture moves online and knows how to make brands part of that movement.
As a Social Marketer at Chowdeck, you will own how Chowdeck shows up across the internet — not just on our owned social channels. Your job is to ensure our ideas travel. That means identifying conversations worth joining, building relationships with creators and community pages, activating influencers, distributing content beyond our owned platforms, and helping Chowdeck become part of everyday internet culture. You will work across campaigns, product launches, partnerships and cultural moments to ensure Chowdeck is consistently present where attention already exists.
In this role you'll be required to:
- Develop social distribution plans for every major marketing campaign, identifying where conversations happen and building strategies that maximise earned reach beyond Chowdeck's owned channels.
- Own Chowdeck's social media presence across Instagram, TikTok, X, Threads, Snapchat, Facebook and YouTube — building platform-specific strategies and managing publishing calendars and campaign rollouts.
- Lead Chowdeck's participation in live cultural moments — operating social war rooms during major events and producing reactive content within minutes of key moments, including BBNaija, AFCON, elections, viral trends and music releases.
- Build and manage long-term relationships with UGC creators, meme pages, entertainment blogs, micro-influencers, campus creators, TikTok editors and fan communities — moving beyond one-off influencer campaigns.
- Manage community engagement across all platforms — responding to comments, starting conversations, encouraging UGC, building brand loyalty and escalating customer issues appropriately.
- Partner with designers, motion designers, copywriters and videographers to create content optimised for distribution, providing clear creative briefs grounded in platform insights.
- Develop systems and toolkits — asset libraries, templates, motion packs, trend briefings and campaign guides — that make it easy for creators to feature Chowdeck.
- Own social and distribution performance reporting, tracking organic reach, engagement, shares, saves, video completion, UGC volume, brand mentions, sentiment and referral traffic, and use insights to continuously improve.
You're perfect for the role if you:
- have 4+ years in social media, brand marketing, creator marketing or community building, with experience growing consumer brands online.
- have a deep understanding of Nigerian internet culture and strong editorial instincts for what will travel.
- have excellent writing and communication skills and strong creative judgment.
- have experience managing creators or influencers and building long-term creator networks.
- are comfortable working during live events and fast-moving campaigns, and thrive in ambiguous, high-speed environments.
- are familiar with analytics and reporting tools and are data-informed in how you make creative decisions.
- are genuinely curious about internet culture — not because you have to be, but because you enjoy understanding how culture evolves.
Beyond the paycheck, Chowdeck employees get:
- Full medical coverage
- MacBook Pro for your work
- Smart, kind colleagues invested in your growth
- Housing assistance
- Lunch allowance
