Farnborough (Onsite)
Full UK Driving Licence Required

Due to the nature of the work and the customers we support, the successful candidate must be eligible to meet UK Government and contractual personnel security requirements, including the applicable residency requirements for the role, and have the right to work in the United Kingdom. Some roles may also be subject to nationality requirements where these are necessary to meet UK Government or contractual security obligations.

Ready to Take Your Cyber Security Career to the Next Level?

At DXC Technology, we're trusted to protect some of the UK's most secure and critical environments. We're looking for a talented SOC Analyst Level 3 to join our high-performing Security Operations Centre in Farnborough.

Whether you're already operating at SOC Level 3 or you're an ambitious SOC Level 2 Analyst ready to step into your next challenge, this is an opportunity to accelerate your career while working on some of the most complex and rewarding cyber security challenges in the industry.

You'll be part of a highly skilled team at the forefront of cyber defence, leading investigations into sophisticated threats, developing advanced detection capabilities, and helping shape the future direction of our security monitoring services.

Why This Opportunity Stands Out

This isn't just another SOC role.

You'll have the opportunity to:

  • Lead investigations into advanced cyber threats within highly secure environments.
  • Drive threat hunting campaigns and uncover previously unseen attack techniques.
  • Influence how security monitoring services evolve and improve.
  • Mentor and develop junior analysts, helping shape the next generation of cyber talent.
  • Work directly with customers and stakeholders, becoming a trusted cyber security adviser.
  • Build expertise in threat intelligence, content engineering, incident response, and security operations strategy.

What You'll Be Doing

As a Tier 3 Security Analyst, you'll play a pivotal role in protecting customer environments by:

  • Developing innovative methods to detect threats and uncover anomalous behaviour.
  • Leading complex security investigations and coordinating response activities during incidents.
  • Driving proactive threat hunting activities across customer environments.
  • Producing actionable cyber threat intelligence and sharing key findings with stakeholders.
  • Acting as the technical escalation point for security incidents.
  • Engineering and enhancing detection content using Elastic Stack and related technologies.
  • Presenting findings and recommendations to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Supporting, mentoring and developing SOC team members.
  • Contributing to internal cyber security forums and customer workgroups.
  • Participating in an on-call rota and occasional travel to customer locations.

What We're Looking For

We're seeking passionate cyber security professionals with experience in:

  • Security Operations Centre (SOC) environments.
  • Cyber threat detection and incident response.
  • Networking fundamentals including protocols, traffic flows and IP addressing.
  • Windows and Linux operating systems.
  • Threat actor tactics, techniques and procedures (TTPs).
  • Indicators of Compromise (IOCs) and Indicators of Attack (IOAs).
  • Cyber Threat Intelligence (CTI).
  • Elastic Stack or other SIEM technologies.
  • Open-Source Intelligence (OSINT) methodologies.
  • Communicating technical information clearly to varied audiences.
  • Coaching, mentoring or supporting less experienced analysts.

Desirable Experience

  • CompTIA Security+, SecurityX, CISSP, CISM or similar certifications.
  • Experience working within highly secure or government environments.
  • Advanced SIEM engineering and detection content experience.

What You'll Gain

At DXC, you'll join a team where learning, innovation and career development are actively encouraged.

You'll benefit from:

  • Exposure to cutting-edge cyber security threats and technologies.
  • Structured career progression opportunities.
  • Ongoing training, mentoring and certification support.
  • The chance to work within some of the UK's most secure environments.
  • A collaborative culture where expertise is shared and valued.
  • Opportunities to influence security strategy rather than simply monitor alerts.

Interested?

If you're an experienced SOC Level 3 Analyst or a high-potential SOC Level 2 Analyst looking for the opportunity to step up, we want to hear from you.
