As an Analyst in Credit Trading – Private Credit within the Corporate & Investment Bank Credit Trading & Financing organization, you will evaluate middle market credit opportunities, perform detailed credit analysis of portfolio loan investments, and develop mark recommendations for new loan originations. You will conduct financial analysis, modeling, credit underwriting, and transaction documentation, while actively monitoring the portfolio through ongoing assessment of sector trends and quarterly financial performance. As part of a collaborative team, you will focus on delivering value and supporting corporate client borrowing needs.
Job responsibilities
- Analyze middle market credit investments in collaboration with senior analysts.
- Perform credit analysis of portfolio loan investments, identifying business risks and mitigants.
- Develop draft mark recommendations for new loans by analyzing the underlying business, credit structure, loan spread, and relevant information.
- Conduct financial analysis, modeling, credit underwriting, and documentation.
- Monitor the portfolio through ongoing review of sector trends and quarterly financials.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Business, Engineering, Accounting, or a related quantitative field.
- Strong English verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency with GAAP accounting, financial reporting analysis, and financial modeling/Excel.
- Strong MS Office skills.
- Entrepreneurial work ethic—self-starter, intellectually curious, and eager to learn.
- Superior time management and multi-tasking skills to juggle live transactions and daily tasks while maintaining focus on client needs.
