Job Description

Job Summary
Responsible for driving business growth and expanding the client base for United Overseas Bank (Malaysia) Bhd, focusing on identifying new market opportunities, cultivating relationships, and achieving sales targets for banking products and services.
Job Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement strategic business development plans to acquire new corporate and commercial clients.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities through market research, networking, and cold calling.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with potential and existing clients, understanding their financial needs and offering tailored solutions.
  • Prepare and present compelling proposals and presentations to prospective clients, showcasing UOB's value proposition.
  • Negotiate terms and conditions with clients, ensuring favorable outcomes for both the bank and the client.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including product specialists, credit risk, and operations, to ensure seamless client onboarding and service delivery.
  • Achieve agreed-upon sales targets and key performance indicators (KPIs) for new client acquisition and revenue generation.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, competitor activities, and regulatory changes to identify new business opportunities and maintain a competitive edge.
  • Prepare regular reports on business development activities, pipeline status, and sales performance.

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of proven experience in business development, sales, or relationship management within the banking or financial services industry.
  • Strong understanding of corporate and commercial banking products and services.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Fluency in English and Bahasa Malaysia is essential; proficiency in other local dialects is a plus.
