The Opportunity:
CACI is seeking a highly skilled SME Data Engineer to join our program supporting our US government customer’s financial management processes and systems. As an SME Data Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and implementing advanced data driven solutions. You will work with a team of software developers, AI engineers, business systems analysts, and analytics developers. You will collaborate within cross-functional teams and drive the strategic direction of our initiatives. You will support our commitment to harnessing the power of artificial intelligence to enhance our products, services, and overall customer experience. You will be part of a team where complex problem solving and communication skills are critical to success. Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and enhance software applications that support our client’s mission-critical operations across our enclave of classified and unclassified cloud environments
Develop and execute the solution strategy in alignment with business objectives, identifying opportunities for AI integration across various domains
Collaborate with architects, data scientists, software engineers, systems engineers, analytics developers, product managers, AI/ML engineers, and other stakeholders to translate mission requirements into innovative technical solutions.
Lead technical design discussions, perform peer code reviews, and contribute to software architecture decisions.
Troubleshoot complex software issues while improving application performance, scalability, and maintainability.
Support CI/CD, automated testing, and DevSecOps initiatives throughout the software development lifecycle.
Present findings, progress, and insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, fostering a culture of data-driven decision-making
Oversee the deployment of applications into production environments, ensuring scalability, reliability, and maintainability.
Stay abreast of the latest advancements in technologies, conducting research to identify innovative solutions and best practices.

Qualifications:
Required: 
Bachelor’s degree in a STEM discipline. Masters degree preferred.
At least 10 years software engineering experience
Experience with DoW PPBE data, systems, and processes
Proficiency in data analytics and driving data software engineering efforts
Experience with CI/CD pipelines
Experience with Oracle and/or PostrgeSql databases
Knowledge of big data technologies and platforms
Excellent leadership and team management skills
Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking
Strong communication and presentation skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
Minimum current DoD Secret clearance
Must be US citizen

Desired:
Experience with Qlik analytics tools
Team lead experience

There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications. The proposed salary range for this position is:

$114,600-$252,100
