About the role:
As Smart 3D - Configuration Subject Matter Expert / Operations IT Senior Solution Specialist located in Chennai, India you will provide Smart 3D application configuration support on a global basis to all users of the Smart 3D application.
Work in a global team. The Configuration SME for Smart 3D is a global role, collaborating with other Configuration SMEs globally under the leadership of the 3D Product Manager.
General configuration responsibilities. The Product Configuration SME for Smart 3D develops, troubleshoots, and maintains the tool configuration for Smart 3D globally. Specific configuration work may include:
- 3D and 2D Symbols
- Drawings customization
- Reports customization
- Naming rules
- Interference detection rules
- Custom commands
- Development and maintenance of custom H&S assemblies
- Global standards for the Civil Disciple Structures
- Development of custom rules using Rule Checker Service
- Development of Parametric Assembly Library files
Basic Intergraph Smart 3D administration. Configuration SMEs for Smart 3D must perform minimal database administration tasks to maintain personal development environment, create/restore Smart 3D databases, use 3D Integrity checker and reports, synchronize model and catalogs.
Preparation of product upgrades and outages. The Configuration SME for Smart 3D helps to prepare product version upgrades and investigate software updates and database integrity.
Desired Skills:
Must have:
- A minimum of a bachelor's degree with a major in Computer Science, Information Systems, any Engineering, or related technical field .
- A minimum of 5 years of manufacturing and/or I/S-related experience is required.
- Minimum of 5 years of technical experience, in configuring the following areas below:
- Reference data (Primarily for Electrical and Civil Disciplines)
- Creation and modification of Reports
- Configuring Isometric Styles, and other drawings’ View Styles
- Developing and maintaining 2D and 3D symbols
- Developing rules through Rule Checker Service
- Creation of custom commands
- WBS
- Interference Detection (Clash Checks) rules
- Building complex SQL queries
- Trigonometry and geometry math skills
- Understanding Smart 3D data structure and views
- Database query analyzer and data mining techniques and tools
- Basic Intergraph (Hexagon) Smart 3D administration skills
- Willing to work during non-office work hours
- Owner operator implementation of Smart3D
- Software / Programming Skills:
- DotNET (VB and C#)
- SQL Server Management Studio
- XML
- Excel Macro
- Visual C++
Favorable:
- Intergraph Metadata browser tool experience
- 3 years Smart 3D (piping, equipment, structural design) working experience in EPCs or Owner Operators
- Experience in tools integration (Tekla, SPIOP, SPF, SDx, SPMAT, SPID) is good to have
- Experience in configuring S3Dx (Modern UI) is good to have
- Minimum of 10 years' experience in configuring Smart3D
- Experience in deploying Smart 3D upgrade in production environment
