Job DescriptionThe Slot Tech II is responsible for providing superior service to both the internal and external customer. They are also responsible for performing a wide variety of diagnoses and repairs of slot machines, with infrequent assistance; possesses extensive knowledge of both mechanical and electronic aspects of slot machine repair; provides training or assistance to lesser experienced technicians.
The Slot Tech II:
- Provides superior customer service, positively effects interactions with external and internal customers and employees, and has the resiliency to deal with difficult customers in all types of business conditions and the ability to work harmoniously with coworkers.
- Diagnoses and repairs mechanical and electronic slot machine malfunctions with minimal guidance or assistance.
- Replaces parts and circuit boards which have caused malfunctions and has the ability to repair circuit boards with minimal assistance.
- May utilize shop machines to fabricate standard or routine parts.
- Would be considered a technical specialist with regard to Slot Machines. May occasionally act as a specialist in either mechanical or electronic areas.
- May be given regular assignments as needed to increase overall department technical knowledge.
- Maintains superior skill levels in mechanical and electronic functions.,
- Performs general and preventive maintenance slot machine inspection, machine moving and installation.
- Performs full slot machine programming and set-up as required.
- Must be flexible to work varying shifts and times schedules as needed.
- Must be able to carry, bend, climb, squat, and lift up to 50 pounds, and push/pull up to 125 pounds so as to be able to reach all areas of machines in need of repair and move machines around work area as needed.
- This position operates in a work environment that is subject to varying levels of crowds, noise and smoke, the severity of which depends upon customer volume.
- Superior understanding of electronics at the circuit board level.
- Advanced technical experience and training with Slot Machines
- Significant experience in electronic and computer programming
- Team Leadership and motivational skills
- Ability to use all machine test equipment.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain all appropriate licenses / certifications per Federal, State, and Gaming regulations.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
These skills are typically acquired through the completion of an AA degree in Electronics or Computer Programming and two-year slot repair experience, or through a minimum of three years progressive slot repair experience.
