Do you thrive in the mountains and have a passion for safety and helping others?
As a Ski Patroller at Brian Head Resort, you’ll respond to on-mountain emergencies, provide first aid, mitigate trail hazards, and support the daily operations that promote skiing and riding that is enjoyable for everyone.
What You’ll Do:
- Respond to on-mountain incidents and provide emergency care, including first aid and transport coordination.
- Open and close trails, monitor signage, and assess snow and weather conditions throughout the day.
- Assist with guest inquiries and provide mountain safety information.
- Handle rescue equipment, sleds, and gear across all terrain and conditions.
- Participate in trainings, refreshers, and on-mountain rescue drills.
- Use two-way radios professionally to coordinate with dispatch and other departments
- Communicate clearly and compassionately with injured guests, assisting in assessments and transports.
- Other duties as assigned.
What We’re Looking For:
- Must be 18+ years of age.
- Must have a high-school diploma or equivalent.
- Is an advanced skier or snowboarder.
- Holds current emergency medical certification (WFR, EMT, OEC, or equivalent).
- Can work in extreme weather conditions (snow, wind, rain) for extended periods.
- Can lift and ski/snowboard with 60+ lbs., including gear and patients when needed.
- Remains calm and focused in high-stress or emergency situations
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays as needed.
