SUMMARY

Reporting into the Operations Director, the Site Supervisor is responsible for supporting and driving the successful, on-time, and within-budget execution of shoring projects from start to finish. This role plays a critical part in the operations team and works closely with on-site crews, engineering teams, subcontractors, and clients.

You will be responsible for overseeing daily site operations, ensuring strict safety compliance, managing jobsite logistics, and serving as the primary on-site representative for GIP to deliver high-quality project outcomes.

PRIMARY SCOPE OF ROLE

  • Project Execution & Planning

    • Interpret and work from engineering drawings and specifications.

    • Plan and organize jobsite logistics and workflow.

    • Order and manage materials and equipment.

    • Develop and maintain project schedules.

  • Team Leadership

    • Supervise, motivate, and support on-site crews.

    • Foster a positive and productive work environment.

    • Ensure clear communication of tasks and expectations.

  • Safety & Compliance

    • Promote a strong safety culture on site.

    • Conduct hazard assessments and enforce proper PPE usage.

    • Ensure adherence to safe work practices and procedures.

    • Lead near-miss reporting and continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Client & Stakeholder Communication

    • Serve as the primary on-site representative of GIP.

    • Maintain professional and effective communication with clients and subcontractors.

    • Address and resolve site issues promptly and diplomatically.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

  • Proven experience in shoring or heavy civil construction supervision.

  • Strong ability to read and interpret construction drawings.

  • Excellent organizational and planning skills.

  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.

  • Commitment to safety and quality.

  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.

  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to job sites as required.

  • Expected Base Salary: $100,000 - $150,000 per year. The actual base salary will depend on several factors including experience, qualifications, internal equity, work location, and market expectations.
