Fourth is actively seeking an experienced and pragmatic SRE for our Sofia office to bolster our worldwide team headed out of London. We are progressing rapidly in developing automated, highly reliable, and zero-downtime infrastructure pipelines that are becoming the standard across our entire business – but now we want to accelerate this adoption.

About you

You are working in an SRE, Platform Engineering or related role at present. You are active with Cloud technologies daily. You enjoy coding in a modern language (script or compiled) from scratch, enough to automate and solve problems at least. You have excellent written and verbal communication skills and enjoy using them to work with people across technology disciplines e.g., developers and Product Owners. You understand the importance of standardisation of technology and practices. You believe that preparing and updating useful and relevant documentation is essential.

The role . . .

· Implementation of scalable, highly available, and resilient infrastructure solutions.

· Helping work with Product Owners and development teams to elicit and define the needs and requirements for products being migrated to cloud.

· Innovate and enhance tooling for monitoring, alerting, incident management, and automation.

· Maintenance of comprehensive documentation for infrastructure and processes, ensuring compliance with industry standards.

· Active participation in incidents if applicable, helping drive rapid recovery, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement.

· Implementation of strategies to future-proof infrastructure for growth and increased demand.

The ideal candidate . . .

· Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.

· Programming, scripting skills and OOP principles in general

· 3-5 years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering, Platform Engineering, DevOps, or a similar role.

· Proven track record of implementing and managing large-scale, highly available, and scalable infrastructure.

· Relevant and recent experience with elements of our main tech stack: Terraform, Configuration Management (Chef ideally, but will consider Ansible or Puppet), Kubernetes (cloud based), Docker (Kubernetes or AWS ECS Fargate)

· Good, fluent cloud experience (ideally Azure)

· A desire to learn more!

· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

· Outstanding communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

· Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, managing multiple priorities.

· Experience of working in Agile or Kanban

· A natural and positive team player.
