As a Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) at Alteryx, you will be at the forefront of deploying, maintaining, and operating our Cloud SaaS products. You’ll collaborate with Product Engineering, Infrastructure Engineering, SRE, and Customer Service teams to ensure our SaaS services are available, scalable, and resilient.
What you’ll do:
- Deploy, provision, and maintain Alteryx’s Cloud SaaS products.
- Promote a customer-centred approach, becoming part of our customers' solutions.
- Collaborate on non-functional requirements for SaaS products, including resiliency, security, and availability.
- Enhance and configure product observability and alerts, automating remediation through programming.
- Serve as an escalation point for availability, performance, and application behaviour issues.
- Demonstrate critical thinking and a growth mindset, quickly learning and applying new technologies.
- Author code fixes for software and service issues, collaborating with Product Engineering to merge code.
- Participate in an on-call rotation for off-hours support periodically.
About you:
- 2-4 years of experience designing, programming, and operating distributed systems software.
- 1-2 years of experience programming in Python, go, JavaScript, Java, .NET or another modern programming language
- 2-4 years of experience with Kubernetes, OpenShift, k3s, or other container orchestration technologies.
- 2-4 years of experience in troubleshooting and problem-solving skills related to containers or distributed systems
- 2-4 years of experience with CI/CD technologies like ArgoCD, Jenkins, or another CD
- 2-4 years of experience with GCP, AWS, and Azure a plus
- Experience debugging software issues and performing RCAs
- Proficiency in Helm and Docker.
- Ability to break down and discuss technical issues and solutions with non-technical team members
- Experience with modern observability tools like DataDog, Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, Thanos, Kibana, Splunk, SumoLogic, or the TICK stack.
