Position Overview

GreenLight Fund seeks a thoughtful, mission-driven Site Manager to lead the execution of site strategy, including research, selection portfolio management, and stakeholder engagement. This role will support the successful implementation of the selection process, monitor portfolio performance, and drive alignment across site priorities. The Site Manager reports directly to the Executive Director of GreenLight Fund Philadelphia and will work collaboratively across the GreenLight network. 

Key Areas of Responsibility

Strategy, Research, Selection, & Community Engagement 

  • Research existing local social issues and priorities affecting underserved children, youth, and families.
  • Lead local landscape analysis, including qualitative and quantitative research, data evaluation, and engagement with community stakeholders and sector leaders.
  • In partnership with the Executive Director, ensure the GreenLight selection process is executed with fidelity, rigor, and strong coordination across all phases.
  • Conduct due diligence on prospective portfolio organizations, including financial evaluation and impact assessment.
  • Record, synthesize and produce reports and briefs based on analysis and key findings to inform Executive Director and stakeholder decision-making.
  • Establish, maintain, and strengthen relationships with community partners and stakeholders to support selection strategy and impact.
  • Lead community engagement initiatives, ensuring collaboration and alignment with site priorities. 
  • Serve as a point of contact for program-related communications, including sharing findings, progress, and opportunities. 

Portfolio Management & Program Execution

  • Oversee portfolio monitoring, ensuring consistent tracking of performance, progress toward outcomes, and emerging opportunities or risks.
  • In partnership with the Executive Director, support ongoing relationships with portfolio organizations and coordinate regular updates, reporting, and learning opportunities.
  • Identify best practices from across the GreenLight network and support implementation of successful strategies locally.
  • Ensure portfolio activities and site work are accurately documented and reflected in reporting systems.

Workflow Management & Logistics

  • Oversee site workflow execution and reporting integrity, ensuring key milestones, deadlines, and deliverables are tracked and completed accurately.
  • Coordinate site execution priorities across teams, aligning program, operational, and stakeholder-facing workstreams.
  • Maintain clear documentation, dashboards, and reporting tools that support effective site management and decision-making.

Stakeholder Engagement & Development

  • Support stakeholder engagement coordination, ensuring consistent communication and engagement with investors.
  • Partner with the Executive Director to execute the site’s annual investor relations and stewardship plan, including outreach, cultivation, engagement, and stewardship activities.
  • Write grant proposals, requests, reports and end of year asks/payment reminders.

Communications & Events

  • Collaborate with the Executive Director to develop and execute the site’s annual communications plan.
  • Lead the planning and execution of annual events that highlight GreenLight’s work and showcase portfolio organizations.

Cross-Functional Leadership & Projects

  • Engage in cross-functional initiatives by supporting the implementation of new tools and processes that support site and network priorities.
  • Work collaboratively with national teams and other sites to share learning and strengthen network-wide practices.

Requirements

  • 6–10 years of professional experience in nonprofit management, consulting, social impact, philanthropy, or a related field.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
  • Demonstrable engagement in the local community.

Location Requirements

This position is based in GreenLight Fund Philadelphia. Applicants who do not meet location requirements will not be considered. 
Travel Requirements

Approximately 5–10% travel is required for site visits and program support. Travel is typically scheduled in advance and may be concentrated during certain periods, including occasional consecutive travel weeks.

Compensation and Benefits 

The salary range for this position is $98,000 to $103,000.
