Role Description
- The Deutsche Bank Sanctions & Screening Programme has undergone significant transformation over the past few years to deliver a revised Operating Model that meets rigorous regulatory requirements. A core component of this operating model is the establishment of teams in India across a number of functions to strengthen the Sanctions & Screening global operating model.
- With the growth in the number India based roles and further roles in the pipeline local Director level leadership is required to coordinate between teams to deliver consistent, high quality service. The site lead for Sanctions & Screening India will report directly to the London based Head of Sanctions & Screening Portfolio oversight.

You will join the Sanctions function to lead our team in India that contribute to delivery of the Bank’s Sanctions Programme

Your key responsibilities
- Lead the Sanctions team in India developing the capability to provide a range of Sanctions Services from the location
- Review and refine where necessary SLAs across all Sanctions disciplines and on an ongoing basis ensure these are met by all Sanctions & Screening teams in India to a high standard of timeliness and accuracy
- Oversee the L3 Alert Management function driving global process consistency and efficiency as we and enabling the consolidation of further responsibility from regional teams
- Drive the delivery of timely and consistent production of Management Information and Governance materials to provide Sanctions Management with appropriate oversight and transparency of the Sanctions Programme
- Ensure list additions are executed by the India based List Management team in a responsive manner that meets Sanctions Regulatory requirements
- Collaborate with Sanctions Management to develop a Sanctions Customer Review team to complete detailed client network analysis and subsequent Sanctions Risk decisions
Your skills and experience
- 10 years’ experience within AFC, Compliance or Non-Financial Risk in a global financial institution or equivalent
- Track record of strategic delivery, working with multiple stakeholders, particularly businesses and operations to deliver integrated solutions through operating model restructuring or refinement
- Flexible approach to new challenges with demonstrable record of engagement on topics / functions with no prior direct experience, rapidly building familiarity in order to deliver immediate benefit
- A sense of urgency; be able to think beyond the initial set of facts or issues and have a strong orientation for probing less obvious solutions.
- Strong written / presentation, oral communication and influencing skills tailoring the content and approach, specific to the audience with deep experience of senior stakeholder engagement
- Bachelor’s Degree with evidence of intellectual curiosity via further education in Finance through Master’s Degree or equivalent

Skills Required
