About the role
The Site HR Business Partner provides high-quality HR business partnering support to managers and associates across the UK, with additional support for Italy, Spain and the UAE.
Working as part of the UK Site HR team, this role supports initiatives that strengthen employee engagement, manager capability, culture and compliance. The role partners closely with Employee Relations, Client HR Business Partners, HR Operations, Compensation and Benefits, Learning and Development, Global Mobility, Legal and other HR stakeholders.
This role reports to the Senior HR Manager, UK.
What you will do
HR Business Partnering and Employee Relations
Act as the primary HR contact for designated UK client groups, including Sales and Relationship Management, Shared Services and Technology
Provide practical, commercially balanced and legally compliant HR advice to leaders and managers
Partner with the Employee Relations Specialist on disciplinary, grievance, performance, flexible working and long-term absence cases
Escalate complex or high-risk issues where appropriate
Support consistent application of HR policies and procedures
Coordinate with HR, Legal and HR Operations teams on legislative, policy and collective bargaining changes in Italy, Spain and the UAE
Support restructures, redundancies and organisational change across relevant EMEA locations
Maintain clear and accessible content on the UK HR SharePoint site
Site Engagement, Culture and Manager Capability
Promote a positive, inclusive and high-performing culture
Drive employee engagement initiatives, including Your Voice action plans and recognition programmes
Support site leaders in Italy, Spain and the UAE on culture and people priorities
Coordinate local engagement events and activities
Identify opportunities to strengthen manager capability and employee experience
Learning, Development and HR Enablement
Partner with Learning and Development and HR teams to identify training needs
Develop and deliver training sessions, workshops and manager briefings
Support employee relations training on policy application, conflict resolution and case management
Identify skills gaps and development opportunities
Data, Reporting and HR Operations
Ensure timely and accurate HR data entry and reporting
Produce and analyse HR metrics, including employee relations activity, absence, flexible working, exit interviews and stay interviews
Use data and insights to identify trends and recommend actions
Partner with HR Operations to maintain efficient and compliant HR processes
Workforce Planning and Talent Management
Support workforce planning, succession planning and organisational capability initiatives
Contribute to annual talent, performance and compensation processes
Support identification and development of key talent
Stakeholder Engagement and EMEA Support
Build strong relationships with HR stakeholders, business leaders, site managers, CSR teams and Employee Resource Groups
Influence positive leadership behaviours and support proactive issue resolution
Partner across the wider HR function to deliver a consistent employee experience
Global Mobility and Internal Movement
Support internal mobility and employee transfers between sites
Coordinate with Global Mobility teams on mobility-related queries in the UK, Italy, Spain and the UAE
Ensure mobility processes support both business and employee needs
What you will need to have
Experience in a generalist HR Business Partner, HR Manager or similar role within a global, matrixed organisation
Strong knowledge of UK employment law, ACAS Codes of Practice and employee relations best practice
Ability to provide pragmatic, risk-aware and commercially balanced HR advice
Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills
Excellent communication skills across leaders, managers and associates
Sound judgement, resilience, discretion and integrity
Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
What would be great to have
Experience supporting HR or employee relations matters across multiple jurisdictions, especially Italy, Spain and the UAE
CIPD qualification, equivalent HR accreditation or significant relevant experience
