Site Controller
About the Role
As Site Controller, you will serve as a key business partner to the leadership team, enabling informed decision-making through the delivery of accurate financial analysis, actionable insights, and strategic business recommendations. You will lead and coordinate the plant’s controlling processes, ensuring robust financial performance management, compliance, and operational transparency.
What You Will Do
Serve as a trusted finance business partner and strategic advisor to the Factory Management Team, providing guidance on financial performance, risks, and opportunities.
Lead the monthly financial closing process for the manufacturing site, ensuring full compliance with local statutory requirements and Essity policies, procedures, and reporting standards.
Ensure the accuracy and integrity of both financial and non-financial KPI reporting during period-end closing, forecasting, and performance review processes.
Analyze financial performance variances, identify key business drivers, and partner with site leadership.
Oversee capital expenditure (CAPEX) management and maintain ownership of plant assets, ensuring accurate valuation, compliance, and lifecycle management.
Lead and coordinate the annual budgeting, forecasting, and annual planning processes, providing insights to support informed business decision-making.
Provide functional leadership and direction to the plant’s Controlling and Accounting teams, driving capability development and operational excellence.
Actively participate in the Manufacturing Controlling Network, ensuring alignment with controlling standards.
Who You Are
7+ years of experience in Finance and Controlling within manufacturing environments managing complex product portfolios and high SKU volumes.
Proven track record of contributing to business strategy through process optimization, automation initiatives, and strong governance of accounting standards.
Solid expertise in cost management, budgeting, forecasting, and month-end/year-end financial processes within manufacturing operations.
Advanced proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and data management tools.
Strong analytical mindset with demonstrated problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
Ability to navigate ambiguity, assess risks, and provide sound business recommendations.
Proven ability to effectively manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, multicultural environment.
English proficiency at a B2 level or above.
