We are looking for an exceptional candidate to bring their skills and talent to our exciting and growing company, where you would join a team of the very best professionals working to develop and acquire critical affordable housing (and other multifamily) assets with an eye toward revitalizing and enhancing the marketability, livability, and quality of every community we serve.

Fresh Pond Apartments, a 500+ unit family apartment community located in Cambridge, MA. This award-winning community has received numerous industry honors, including the Communities of Quality – Exemplary Family Property designation.

Duties include but not limited to;

  1. Collect and enter rent payments into the YARDI accounting system.
  2. Research open receivables including resident balances and HAP balances.  Contact residents when necessary.
  3. Process payables in Yardi Payscan system.  Code invoices per budget and follow proper steps for payment processing.
  4. Set up new vendors and manage vendor COIs.
  5. Collect and submit replacement reserve requests
  6. Month-end close
  7. Post repayment agreements
  8. Calculate annual Security deposit and sent notices and perform final deposit accounting for move-outs

The candidate should be a self-starter with excellent phone and customer service skills and must be able to professionally handle resident rent collections.  One to two years of accounting experience required.

Skills Required

  • One to two years of accounting experience
  • Experience using Yardi accounting system
  • Experience processing payables and coding invoices (Yardi Payscan)
  • Ability to perform month-end close
  • Excellent phone and customer service skills
  • Ability to professionally handle resident rent collections
  • Self-starter / able to work independently
