SIP RF Test Engineer

About the role

We are looking for someone who has a wealth of experience in Wireless FEM testing (WIFI/WLAN, WIFI6/7, Bluetooth, Layer 1/2/3, IEEE802.11, etc) both in hardware and software design and development. A test engineer who has been part of or led the ramp-up of test solutions for this type of product using the latest technology and equipment in SIP (System in Package). Familiar with test methodologies, test parameters, equipment function and project management. Must have good experience in laboratory work/testing and with analogue, RF, and digital hardware, including practical experience with Network analysers, Noise analysers, and Spectrum analysers.

What you will do

• You will plan, design, optimise, verify, and install test solutions, circuits, mechanical systems, Digital/Analogue/RF/WIFI/SIP systems

• You will help scout, select, qualify Test Equipment and design/debug hardware solutions

• You will work together with Assembly counterparts, project managers to come up with Business cases and proposals, and at times may also need to liaise directly with customers

• You will develop and execute automated tests

• You will need to do characterisation / final test program on the ATE tester or lab equipment

• You will work together with Equipment suppliers or Test solutions providers to get the best cost of test solutions for targeted products

• Analyse test results and generate reports for customer usage

• Provide hardware and software engineering solutions for development projects in the Wi-Fi Connectivity products

• Interface with customer - aligning expectations, presenting test data and building collaboration

What you will need

• Graduate of an Engineering course, Electronics, Radio frequency, Mechanical or IT

• Strong fundamentals on and a good understanding of WIFI standards

• Competent in programming and/or scripting (i.e. C,/C++, Perl, Python, Java, LabVIEW, etc)

• 8 years or more of direct involvement in Testing wireless components or leading a chipset company

• Strong communication skills in both English and Chinese, able to explain complex technical information clearly and concisely

• Self-starter, assertive, decisive, quick learner and has initiative

• Capable of being independent in handling complex tasks and providing clear strategies and solutions

• OSAT experience is an advantage

Finally, you will be working with Package R&D, Sales, and Assembly counterparts to provide cost-effective and best-in-class products in SIP. Opportunity to be exposed to the whole supply chain and interface with different levels of the organisation.
