Simulation Engineer – 1D System Simulation

Job Description
• We are looking for a motivated and experienced 1D simulation engineer to support us in the execution of system performance and thermal management tasks from all KION global R&D locations.
• As a simulation engineer, you will be responsible for the on-time execution of performance and tasks (modelling, simulation jobs…) acc. to the defined quality standards and with the defined tools.
• You will support our team of calculation & simulation engineers by carrying out simulation tasks for the different truck families and components.
• You will coordinate the tasks with the different internal customers (Calculation &
• Simulation teams in Europe) and align on priorities and due dates. Continuous reporting
is an important part of your responsibility.
• You will have to establish a global network with the different internal customers
Tasks and Qualifications:
Qualifications:
• Should have a university master’s degree with a technical focus, preferably mechanical
engineering with CFD and thermal engineering as a part of curriculum.
• Knowledge in engineering principles, theory, and practice as well as basic product knowledge.
• An industrial working experience of 0 - 2 years; off-road vehicles projects will be added advantage.
• Competence and preferably experience in simulation topics, including
1D-Simulation & CFD analysis
• Familiar with simulation tools, i. e. Simcenter (1D /3D) for the dynamic system modelling and thermal management. Additional tools are an additional advantage.
• Should have experience with MS Windows and MS Office packages
• Strong communication skills to build a network and maintain strong
relationship with stakeholders
• Willingness to travel Europe on need basis to strengthen collaboration and increase knowledge
• Very good English skills complete your profile.
• Spoken proficiency in German is a plus.
