Signage & Wayfinding Specialist / Revit Coordinator

Your Role

Gensler’s Washington, D.C. Brand Design studio is searching for a technical draftsperson who is, or desires to be, proficient in Revit to work with our Signage & Wayfinding team. You could come from any associated drafting backgrounds, including: Industrial Design, Product Design, Engineering, Architecture, Planning, or Interior Design and be a great fit for this role. The key is that you understand how to read architectural plans, have an interest in gaining Revit proficiency, and are detail oriented. We will teach you the rest—including all the specifics of creating architectural signage documents. Prior signage specific experience is not required.

What You Will Do

• Create Signage Location Plans, Message Schedules and Design Intent Documentation in Revit for projects of various sizes
• Work closely with clients, designers, architects, general contractors and fabricators
• Develop documentation for construction and installation for signage systems
• Navigate Revit models to pull views and elevations
• Design and model sign systems and components
• Coordinate with consultants such as structural, electrical, etc. requirements for signage
• Create detailed model components and families in Revit
• Coordinate signs with architectural elements like door frames and lighting
• Coordinate and create central and shared models with other consultants and architects
• Create architectural sheets in Revit
• Travel occasionally to client sites to perform signage surveys, oversee installs, and conduct punch lists

Your Qualifications

• Revit proficiency is preferred, desire to learn Revit is required
• 2-year degree in drafting from an accredited trade school
• 4-year architecture/design degree a plus
• Detail oriented
• 0-3 years of experience working in industrial/product/signage detailing and production industry
• Thorough, thoughtful, precise and able to work independently and think strategically
• Strong communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment
• Strong work ethic with a positive spirit
• Understanding of Adobe Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Acrobat), MS Office, and/or CAD

**The estimated base salary range for this position is $67-73k, plus eligibility for bonuses and a comprehensive benefits package, with final compensation contingent on relevant experience.
