We are now looking for a Shopfloor Supervisor to join our UPM Adhesive Materials team. This position is located in Delhi, India.
What you will do
Lead and manage shift operations, ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency across the site
Monitor and enforce safety rules, investigate incidents, and drive corrective actions
Plan and prioritize production orders considering customer needs, timelines, and resource utilization
Coordinate with customer service and stock control to ensure accurate and timely order fulfillment
Allocate team resources, including staffing, materials, and time, to optimize operations
Support maintenance prioritization and ensure effective response to operational issues and breakdowns
Coach, develop, and support Production Operators, including training and onboarding new hires
Act as the responsible contact during off-hours, including managing emergencies and site evacuations
Who you are
You have experience in a manufacturing or production environment, preferably in continuous processes
You have proven leadership skills and the ability to motivate and develop a team
You have strong problem-solving and analytical capabilities
You have good communication and interpersonal skills across all organizational levels
You have knowledge of MS Office tools (Word, Excel) and ideally SAP or similar systems
You have an understanding of safety, quality, and operational excellence practices
You are proactive, self-motivated, and able to take ownership of shift responsibilities
You are fluent in local language and have a good command of English, both written and spoken
